Prison Break Recap: Treasure Hunt
Ah hah! I knew the Prison Break gang would end up back together. Last night's show picks up where we left off last week -- with Michael, Lincoln, Tweener and T-Bag trying to find D.B. Cooper's money that has been buried under the KK Ranch, which has since been turned into a housing development.
In true MacGyver fashion, Michael asseses the growth of the trees to determine where the silo they were looking for once stood. He figures out the money is hidden under the garage of Jeanette Owen's home. In another totally Scofield move, Michael says the housing complex isn't high-end, and all they have to do to get to the money is break through the foundation of her garage. The question now, however, is how.
Lincoln concocts a plan to turn Jeanette's power off and makes up a story that they're electricians and need to get into her garage to fix it. The guys send Tweener back to Woody's garden shop to get supplies. There, Tweener runs into a friend of Woody's who saw the shovel on the floor and called the police. Tweener wasn't sure if the call went through, but he ties up the friend and puts him next to Woody in the back of the shop before heading back to the gang.
Jeanette, who is the epitome of the dumb-blonde stereotype, flirts with the men, buys their electrician story and let's them into her home. T-Bag is clearly oogling her -- so gross! He volunteers to, uh, keep an eye on her while the men dig. After all, he's got a bad hand. Before he goes back into the house, however, C-Note and Sucre, who met up on the road, show up in the garage. Does anyone else think it was a bit far-fetched that they found the exact spot?
The writers probably didn't need to work too hard on this scene because, as C-Note tells Michael, they've been here before. If Michael doesn't let C-Note and Sucre in on the money, he'll turn them in to the cops. So, C-Note and Sucre are in.
As the guys are digging, T-Bag is inside flirting and leering at Jeanette, who seems to be eating it all up, until she asks T-Bag to tell Lincoln to come inside and have a little chat with her. Ew, can you imagine flirting with T-Bag? It makes my skin crawl.
Meanwhile, Tweener had been sent to back into town to fill up with gas, and the gas station attendant recognized him and called the police. Mahone and his men surrounded Tweener. They held a gun to his head and ordered him to tell them where the other cons were hiding.
Michael walks into the house to find glass shattered all over the floor. He goes upstairs to see if T-Bag is up to no good again. Jeanette is in her room and seems to be fine but tells the men it's time for them to leave. She looks out the window and sees squad cars and officers surrounding her house.
But just as Jeanette, who is finally getting a clue, whispers, "Thank God," T-Bag grabs her and holds a screwdriver to her throat.
How do you think the guys will get out of this one? Can they pull off yet another disappearing act, or are they on their last leg?
