Exclusive: Behind the Scenes of Grease

Access Hollywood's Billy Bush is hosting the newest reality show, Grease: You're The One That I Want every Sunday night. Each week, he'll give us a behind-the-scenes look at the judges' quest for the perfect Danny and Sandy to star in the musical version on Broadway this summer.

I have mixed emotions right now. I am thrilled that NBC picked up additional episodes and that they love the show. I am bitter that for the last two weeks we have been hurt by championship football. Two awesome games featuring the New England Patriots (I was even at one of them -- the shame), have hurt the momentum a little. But last night's episode three was bigger than last week and grew throughout the hour.

The show is about to become one of the best on TV because next week we're live with 12 kids in a do-or-die environment with massive productions to put on every Sunday night. It's exciting. I sort of feel like Ed Sullivan feeding fun to people.

Last night we chose the final 12, and I'm so glad because I don't have to hold on to that secret anymore. Two eliminations in a 60-minute episode, packed tight with great dance instruction, vocal action and tension -- people loved it.

Finally, I remember when we filmed the "showcase" in front of Marilu Henner, Barry Bostwick (the original Danny Zuko on stage) and Jeff Conaway from the movie... Kanicki was in the house. It was surreal. Shaking hands and chatting with each of them really reminded me how rich this material is. To those who hold Grease close to their hearts, our LIVE shows will do it justice. Get very excited.

That's all for now.
