Shear Genius = 6 minus 2

Shear_TysonTabatha.JPGArithmetic lesson of the night When there are six remaining stylists who are given three ledgers, how many stylists are there per ledger? Easy, right? Well, it stumped this crew. "Why are there only three if there are six of us?" questioned Tabatha. They followed their map to a mall for their short cut challenge. Ben decided to get his freak on. And by freak, I mean a ninja costume, hood included. "Ben, what are you wearing? Are you having a bad hair day?" asked Jaclyn. He explained that he's showing them that he's ready for anything. "It's unusual," noted the hostess. Ya think? Jaclyn then introduced her own stylist /guest judge Jose Eber.

After pairing up, the contestants had to solicit clients and try to make the most money in two hours. Last week's winner, Tyson, got to double everyone up. He chose nemesis Tabatha to work with, while he put Boogie with Ninja Ben, and Daisy with Anthony. So basically, everyone was with someone they didn't care for.

Tabby, who is arguably the most outspoken in the bunch, was uncomfortable approaching strangers, but Tyson was ying to her yang as he wooed mall goers with his salesman-like charm. Boogie and Ben offered cuts for $5, $10 and $20, while Tyson's pitch was a cut in five minutes for bigger bucks. Anthony decided to rack in customers at $30 a pop. T&T were the last to reel anyone in, but ended up winning when they made more than the other two teams combined.

Back at their pad, the six stylists exchanged stories about the day. Tyson asked, "So Tabatha, do you think we should open up a kiosk in the mall?" With a look of disgust, she replied, "Not so much." A dude arrived with a mini wedding cake and they quickly realized they were going to be doing bridal hair for the elimination challenge.
At the salon the following day, Rene informed them they had to stay with their partner from the mall, and that two contestants will be chopped when the challenge is over. The pairs had three hairstyles to complete in two hours; the bride, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride. Daisy took charge and got her team moving, and Boogie turned Ben into his bitch for the day and Rene picked up on the fact that there is no Ben in T-E-A-M. Surprisingly, T&T got along until Tabatha actually looked at the work he had done. She finished his hairstyle and talked about him to her client. “I want to kill him,” she vented to Ben.

For the runway show, a second guest judge, Celeb Wedding Planner Mindy Weiss, was introduced. Of course, starstruck Daisy knew she worked on Heidi Klum and Seal’s ceremony. Tabatha and Tyson’s girls hit the catwalk. “I just want to put Tyson through the wall. I can’t believe elimination for a team and I could go home because of that little (beep),“ stated Tab to the camera. The mom’s hair was boring, the bride’s was very top-heavy and the bridesmaid’s was not impressive. Daisy and Anthony’s three looked pretty good. Boogie and Ben’s bride and momma were not that great, but the bridesmaid had an interesting style. During Q&A time with the judges, Tabatha talked crap about her own partner's work! “I have seen better French twists from probably beauty school,” she said, referring to the up-do Tyson created. When Jaclyn asked why she said that, Tab bluntly replied, “Probably because I don’t care for Tyson very much.” She even uttered the sentence twice!! It was a revelation for the judges. Tabatha continued ranting about her partner. “I’ve never liked Tyson, so it’s not like I went to sleep last night and work up this morning and thought, ‘Oh, I don’t like you today.’ I’ve never liked you. You rub me the wrong way. You’re very egotistical.” She so just signed her ticket outta there. Tyson kept quiet and allowed Tab to look like the bitch she is. Boogie also pointed out that he and Ben don’t really get along, but at least their clients didn’t know it.

During deliberation, judges ripped Tyson and Tabatha’s hairstyles apart, and agreed that Ben should’ve stood up to Boogie. The contestants lined up. Daisy and Anthony were named the winners. No surprise as to the duo who got cut; Tyson and Tabatha said their good-byes. She advised Ben not to wear the ninja outfit again. Tyson was very complimentary to the four finalists, and had nothing bad to say about Tabatha (not that they showed , anyway). However, Tabby kept her cruelty going: “Tyson was a big portion of the reason I’m going home and that’s the really hard thing for me to swallow. The thing that I’m really happy about is that Tyson hasn’t won.” Funny, I can say the same about her! Maybe she has a secret crush on Ty.

A less brutal battle will continue with the final four next week....

Where did they find that "mentor" guy? Couldn't they find someone that doesn't sound like the priest from the Princess Bride?

I would never go to Tabatha, she speaks badly of all her clients and has a horrible air about her. C'mon Tabatha, you aren't a CEO, you cut hair.
