Whoopi goldberg would be the greatest happening on that (now) boring show, the view. She will give it life and bring it back from the DEAD!

Is it the fact that they are strong african ammerican women? Whoopi is a great addition. Sorry they couldnt find some more boring white women.. maybe next time.

I really like Whoopi and think she will be wonderful. I think Sherri Shepard is very smart and extremely funny, but we already have Joy who I like. I wish they had not picked 2 people that always want to go for the joke.

Whoopi is terribly boring. I like Sherri. She's at least more honest and comical. Whoopi is just too old and she thinks her jokes are funny and waits for the laughs to slowly roll in after guiding the audience to do so. BORING!

I would love to see either of these ladies on The View, but I tend to lean toward Sherri Shepard.

Who cares if a handful of people think Whoopi is boring, if you don't like it turn to another channel. Also, I think the producers of The View have learned their lessons and will hire hostess' that are compatible with everyone. I like both of them, they are both funny. I do think Kathy would've been a great addition, maybe when Elisabeth goes on a permenant maternity leave, oh come on baby, pop out already. Then we would have a decent show. I love diversity and comedy.

I must agree. Whoopie and Sherri are great co-hosts. I was sick of hearing about politics all the time. I am glad that both women love to steer away from this and move on when necessary.

That's the type of energy that show needs. Lots of humor..well Joy is funny as hell, but the gurl needs some back up.
If this show doesn't pick up the action it's gonna be canned.
Let's hope that they decide on a person who has a great sense of humor and drive to keep the action needed to pick this show up, and keep the audience attention up.
Maybe then we all will "Take a little time to enjoy the view.":)
