Sherri Shepherd Officially Joins The View
Unsurprisingly, comedian and sometimes guest-host Sherri Shepherd will officially be joining the ladies at The View. In the beginning of the summer, she was rumored to be taking the spot but then ran into problems during salary negotiations. Those snags have apparently been worked through as sources are confirming to People.com that Sherri will absolutely fill the fifth and final seat on the talk show, joining newbie Whoopi Goldberg, who began her tenure as the show's moderator this week.

Hooray for Sherri! I was so hoping she would get the job; I have always liked her as a guest host and think she will be great for the show! Whoopi, Joy, Elisabeth, Sherri and Miss Barbara...

any show should be honored that she would grace the stage... and who has a more delightful "view" than whoopi.

Hooray for Sherri! I love both her and Whoopi, I think they know what they are doing. Moderator or not, all women will have their say and nobody can ever be hushed on that show...lol...should be interesting to see how this turns out. I will tune in and see for myself a few episodes. If worst case, it's boring, just change the channel.

Excellent choices. I couldn't be more thrilled!
I like Sherri and Barbara and Joy but very much dislike the rest and haven't watched in months. the show has gone down ever since Merideth left.
Kathy Griffin offends too many people. I don't know this Sherri person and don't watch The View more than twice a year.
