America's Next Top Model Recap: 10/10/2007

ANTM opens with Victoria claiming that she’s just finally realizing how important modeling is to her, and Saleisha once again professing how she’s so great that she’ll never end up in the bottom two. A little foreshadowing, maybe?

But moving forward to what we’ve all been waiting for -- makeovers! Finally, we don’t have to look at that purplish red mess on Bianca’s head. Instead the poor girl has to get rid of all of her hair because it’s too fried to do anything else with. It actually didn’t look too bad though!

Ebony got long dark locks, Chantal kept her length but got some bangs, Victoria and Jenah got blonder dos, and Heather didn’t stray far from her original look. The rest of the ladies got short hair cuts across the board. Janet, however, went black and Sarah, blonde. Saleisha’s cut was worst of all, reminding me a little bit of Johnny Depp’s hair in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Up next is a makeup competition. The girls scramble to put on their best faces for a chance to win an opportunity to teach new makeup techniques on the Covergirl Website. In the end it’s Sarah that wins the competition, another bruise to Saleisha’s ego. That’s twice in one episode and still, more to come. Ouch!

Later, the girls head off to their photo shoot where they literally become one with nature by dressing (barely!) as different types of flowers and plants. Heather’s photo as weeds looked so creepy, but great! And once again the judges are impressed. Saleisha’s tulip shot didn’t go over well with them. My guess is she was way too concerned with her haircut. Chantal had an issue with deciding who to listen to during the shoot -- Jay or the photographer. She got pretty frustrated and brought it up to panel, but they didn’t seem to care.

Twiggy found it funny that Victoria was a cactus. And almost on cue, Victoria snapped back to make it clear that she didn’t have a prickly disposition. Apparently, Twiggy and the rest of the judges thought she did because she ended up in the bottom two. Alongside her? Miss I’m never going to be in the bottom two Saliesha.

Ultimately, it was Victoria who was sent packing and Saleisha who sobbed so loudly you’d think she was the one being sent home. Tyra told Victoria that she’s got to learn to listen. Right, because we don’t want aggressive models who speak their mind, but docile ones who do what we tell them!

I never thought Victoria looked like a model. She kind of reminds me of a mouse.

I thought Saleisha's haircut made her look like Tootie from Facts of Life. Slap a pair of roller skates on her and some braces..and there you go..Tootie. If they had cut some more angles in it, I might have liked it. I thought that had to be the worst haircut in ANTM's history.
Also, Victoria..I never liked her. At least she realized that now she's not taking away the dream of another girl who really wants it. I love Heather..I really hope she goes all the way!
