Jessica Seinfeld Gives Oprah 21 Pairs Of Shoes
In Spanish you say “Gracias.”
In French you say “Merci.”
And how do you say “thank you,” in millionaire? Twenty-one pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes.
That’s how Jessica Seinfeld thanked Oprah for having her on her talk show last week to promote her new cookbook, “Deceptively Delicious.” Since her appearance Jessica’s book has become a best seller.
So instead of a thank you note, Jessica, who seems like a complete and total delight I must add, sent her shoes. Shoes that cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $800-$1200 a pair.
I clearly don’t have the right friends.

The problem is that Jessica's gift is in bad taste and pegs her as a money ho -- after all, she was on Oprah to hawk her for-profit book. Jerry said his wife is not in it for monay and fame but clearly she is. The Seinfelds pretend to be regular folks while living in palatial mansions, flying in private planes and going from the chauffered Mercedes to Barney's and back. Giving all those overpriced shoes to a billionaire shows how out of touch the Seinfelds are -- they could have bought shoes for every girl in Oprah's school for life for less than they spent on a woman who needs nothing.
