I love Oprah. Make fun of her all you want about how she screams out the names of her guests when announcing them or how she laughs at every story her celeb friends tell even when they're not funny, but like it or not, she's changing the world.

Which is why I'm sad to report about the alleged abuse at her South African school for underprivileged girls. Yesterday during an emergency parent's meeting at the school, Oprah apologized for the events that have taken place at the school by the matrons running the joint.

According to reports, one girl was grabbed by a matron and thrown against the wall. Another student claims to have been screamed at by a "dorm parent" who used swear words, while another alleges being fondled.

"I've disappointed you. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry," a tearful Oprah told the parents.

The South African police are on the case, hopefully the people who participated in the abuses have all been fired and the school can get back to teaching these talented young women and Oprah can get back to important things like interviewing Sarah Jessica Parker about her clothing line because it's darling!
