TV Recap: Dancing With The Stars, The Results
I can’t believe Mark Cuban made it five whole weeks! The weakest link has been eliminated, leaving seven sort-of stars to battle it out for the title of... Dancing with the Stars Champion? I think that’s the actual title, but whatever you want to call it, the winner will have a B-rate reality TV show trophy on his or her hands. Whoo hoo! (Even though it’s not the most popular show, hence B-rate, doesn’t mean it isn’t great).
For the second week in a row, someone unexpected found herself hanging by a thread in the bottom two. Jane Seymour probably didn’t see that one coming. The judges adore her and I’m sure she has an array of fans, from Dr. Quinn admirers to cougar hunters. Either way, she’d better step up her game and get a little down and dirty if there’s any hope for this MIL* to trample the younger competition.
With the show reaching its midway point, the competitors really need to make sure they are giving it their all every week. No excuses, play like a champion. There is very little room for mistakes, less-than-stellar performances or lifts. I feel for the dancers, because their choreography needs to be even more impressive, innovative and exciting than it’s been thus far. Good luck, all.
Jennifer Lopez - What’s your deal? If you are, in fact, pregnant, you’re not going to be able to hide it for more than another month or two, so give it up already. I understand that celebrities yearn for privacy, (which they never get, regardless of the status of their reproductive organs) but trying to be all annoyingly hush-hush about it only makes it worse, and more annoying. That said, special guest J. Lo’s performances of “Do it Well” and “Let’s Get Loud” were actual performances. She did a couple little dances, strutted around, had backup dancers, good stuff. Curiously, she was not scantily-clad, did not whip around like she used to and touched her stomach throughout both performances. Interesting. Seriously, woman, enough is enough.
I’m way excited for next week, which will feature the seven couples dancing individually and collectively. We got a little preview of what the group dance will look like last night in a 50's rocker type dance. From what I saw, it seems like each couple will have a chance to dance solo in the spotlight, then all come together under the same choreography. Unlike last night, I doubt many of the stars will be flipping around quite like the pros, except maybe for Cameron and Edyta. Tune in next week to find out who will go home and who will survive to dance another day!
Oh, and Marie Osmond is still fine.

Allie, I'm not quite sure what you mean by calling DWTS a B-rate reality show that is not the most popular but good.
This show is the #2 rated show behind only CSI, so it is apparently very popular. Not B-rate by any means....
hahah that's exactly what i was thinking Silver 6. Even the DWTS results show is way up there in the ratings. It's definitely not B-rated anymore.

Yes, they do have B rate celebs, but the show itself is in no way B rate.
The ratings are huge.
Cheryl Burke has become a household name.
How can this be B rate?
The one thing that does baffle me is that they cant get higher caliber celebs on the show?
Since the show is so popular and well respected as one of the higher quality reality shows, why do they still get has been celebs?
I would think more A list celebs would want to do it, not for the career boost (like most of the has beens) but for the sheer fun (like Mark Cuban)
It is actually my *favorite* reality show. Not all trash and whores--no sex, no ganstas beating the heck out of each other. No "I Love NY" no one looking for love in all the wrong places, no one being exploited or shown drunk, etc. It's old fashioned, clean, fun TV. I wish there was a LOT more of it.
I love this show - top rate production altogether. I agree, Tamara, maybe b-rate celebrities but the talent they have exhibited this year is AWESOME and soooo much fun to watch. I think Sabrina stands out but the competition is certainly great with all the remaining contestants. I think Jane better spice it up a bit next week, though! Graceful is wonderful but she needs a little punch and pizzazz, too.
