TV Recap: America's Next Top Model

The girls leave their L.A. digs for Shanghai! When they get to their new home, which is a gorgeous penthouse that overlooks the city, they find that there are only five beds for the six of them—four of which are single and one double. Heather isn’t quick to claim a bed, and Saleisha, who claimed the bigger bed, does not want to share! Heather gets upset, and the girls tease her relentlessly. Chantal quickly plays the peacemaker and tries to come up with a solution. Eventually, Bianca and Jenah offer to take the larger bed so that both Saleisha and Heather can have their own space.

The next morning the girls head out to a film studio in Shanghai, where they meet a martial arts expert who teaches them some basic martial arts positions. None of it makes sense until the girls are told that their challenge is to hold these positions while suspended in mid-air. Bianca starts freaking out because she’s afraid of heights, but if she doesn’t go through with it she will be disqualified. As they lift her in the air she decides she is too scared and gets disqualified. It’s ultimately Heather does a great job holding the positions while in the air and wins the challenge. Her prize? A shopping spree for her and a friend. Heather chooses Chantal and the girls spend the day shopping in the city.

Time for the Cover-Girl ads! Saleisha and Chantal rock the shoot. They are adorable in front of the camera. Bianca has some trouble but comes around. Heather has a lot of trouble remembering her lines, so Jay has to feed them to her one at a time. But even with his help, she still has trouble, which could prove to be a problem for her future modeling career. Jenah seems to be a little stiff, but Jay says she’s genuine. Lisa’s breaks down during her commercial because she’s having trouble remembering her lines. That’s two weeks in a row that she’s lost her confidence. This can’t be a good sign!

At panel, the judges quickly pick up on the cracks in Lisa’s voice during her commercial. Tyra tells Lisa that she should have just cried, let it out, and continued on instead of holding it in. Bianca gets reprimanded for getting disqualified during the challenge. She says she has trouble trusting people, and to which Miss J replies, “Then you’re in the wrong business.” Nigel says Jenah lacked charm during her commercial, but they all love her photo which is a shot of her with her hands and hair throw in the air. Chantal and Saleisha’s commercials are a hit with the judges. Nigel uses an example of Saleisha’s body language to show the rest of the girls how they need to flirt with the camera. Sadly, Heather’s commercial is a complete bomb. They couldn’t edit out the funny faces she made every time she’d mess up, and it was visibly apparent that she had trouble mimicking the lines.

Lisa and Heather are in the bottom two this week. Lisa—because the judges aren’t sure if she can handle critique, and Heather —because she couldn’t deliver her lines. My jaw drops as Tyra tells Heather she can stay. I was not ready to see Lisa leave!

I am glad Heather got to stay. If people would research and really understand what Asperger's Syndrome is they would know why Heather had problems with her lines. Just because she has a disability, it should not keep her from following her dreams.
Plus they are not showing everything on camera. They intentionally make it look like some people are getting favortism and that some people are really mean (which I am not saying that some of the girls are not mean) We don't know if the other girls had help with their lines. Of course they would not show that on camera. But what would a reality show be without the drama? Lisa clearly could not handle the pressure. Heather is learning to cope with the pressure which is very good for a person with AS. (My son has AS and he stuggles with stress every day.)
Tyra needs to step up and talk to these girls. There are always a few girls that gang up on one person in the house each cycle and I think that they need to grow up and act like adults!

what bothered me was what seleisha said, "If it aint a man, I aint sharing a bed" No offense Seleisha but you not only come out as derogatory towards Heather but also raunchy

i couldnt believe Lisa was leaving! But she was really showing lack of confidence and no one can succeed if theres no confidence. She was being a big baby. Heather is still awesome and i think they should consider her condition and not judge her so roughly. I bet she is trying harder than anyone else! You can easily see the favoritism from the judges, i hope they ope their eyes. Bianca is ugly and she should leave lol!

I agree with mR!! I really dislike Bianca! You can tell she just waits for Heather to make a mistake and then she has that smirk on her face that I would love to wipe off!!! She's just mean and jealous of Heather!!
