TV Recap: Desperate Housewives
While some may think that the destruction of a tornado is horrific, on Wisteria Lane, a tiny bit of good came out of the frightful storm that struck.
Last week, Adam had a surprise visitor, someone from his past. Her name was Sylvia, and she wasn’t there to make nice.
Gabby was in the middle of telling her best friends that her and Carlos were moving away together in order to escape Victor, when Mrs. McClusky drove up and warned the girls about the tornado watch. Thus their goodbye to Gabby was rather short-lived.
Catherine spit in Sylvia’s face after finding out that she had visited her husband Adam the day before. Sylvia also claimed that her and Adam slept together. That put Catherine over the edge. Bree saw everything, and out of the goodness of her heart invited the broken-spirited Sylvia to her house for some tea. Not the best timing in the middle of tornado watch, Bree.

Sylvia spilled everything to Bree about her and Adam’s affair, claiming that that they fell in love and just couldn’t resist. When she gets a hint that Bree may not believe every word she says, Sylvia locks herself in the bathroom, which happens to be where Bree, Orson and Benjamin plan on hiding from the tornado. Sylvia won’t come out until Adam comes.
Susan confronts Mike about his pill-popping, and as she’s walking down the stairs, Mike grabs her arm, causing her to lose her balance and fall down the stairs, fetus in stomach and all.
Catherine does not know about Sylvia and Adam’s alleged affair, and thinks they just kissed, which caused them to go to court because Sylvia accused Adam of sexual assault. This is why they lost everything in Chicago, house and all. Moving to Wisteria was supposed to be their fresh start.
Lynette joins McClusky in her basement, but Tom is allergic to Ida’s cat, which causes problems. Lynette takes the cat upstairs without telling Ida.
Mike is in such desperate need of his pills while waiting at the hospital with Susan that he lashes out on a doctor and hits him. Mike gets himself put in handcuffs attached to a chair. After Susan is examined and all goes well, she gives Mike an ultimatum: either he goes to rehab, or she lives him, with the baby.
Carlos’s attorney drops off the papers for his secret Cayman Islands money but mistakes Edie for Gabby, and Edie takes advantage. Gabby sees Edie with her papers and they fight for them, but end up losing all the papers in the tornado- and to make matters worse, they end up hiding from the tornado together, alone.
After many failed attempts of getting Sylvia out of the bathroom, Catherine, Adam, Bree and Orson take shelter in another room together. Bree slips that Sylvia told her that Adam had a snake tattoo on his shoulder, not realizing that it was true, and she just blurted out something that Catherine had no idea about. There is a sense of awkwardness in the room, to say the least.
Carlos returns to his house and victor is waiting there with a gun. Carlos tells victor that him and Gabby couldn’t help but get back together and they never set out to hurt him and he’s sorry. Victor tries to shoot Carlos but misses. Carlos runs. They fight for the gun outside in the windy storm. Carlos knocks victor out. Victor gets up after a few minutes and is about to hit Carlos over the head with a metal rod but suddenly a part of a fence goes through his body. See ya, Victor!

Sylvia leaves the house and gets swept away by the tornado.
Gabby and Edie make up.
As everyone emerges from their hiding spots, they see what damage the tornado has really done. It ruined everything.
However, “while the storm had raged, each of them had learned something about friendship, forgiveness, and redemption.”
Lynette sees Mrs. McClusky's house and starts screaming, because her family is in the basement underneath the wreckage.
What an episode!

Lynette was looking at Mrs McClusky's house not hers... where her family was. The two women were in Lynette's house in the bathtub under a mattress. Oh and Bree's son I think, is Benjamin not Jonathan.
Sharp tls! I read right over that and didn't catch it. I never liked Gabby and Victor together anyway. They seemed so mis-matched.
I agree, they were mismatched. It was a hell of an ending though... I couldn't wait until January I had to go read the spoilers!
I watched that episode and was shocked!
I hope Tom and the Kids are alright, but i think the producers won't write all of them out.
The Susan - Mike drug story was a little boring for me.
But awesome episode and the waiting till january will be terrible.
In the beginning of the episode, it said a husband is lost.
Is it Victor or Tom?
Prob Victor.
I cant see Tom going off the show.
I agree, the Susan/Mike drug story is kind of boring.
Not really a big Mike fan.
He does not add much to the show.
My fave storyline is the Gabby/Carlos/Edie/Victor thing.
This is like the first season.
Very good show now.
Kind of dropped off last couple of seasons but now its back.
How do you all know that the show is back in Jan?
What about the writers strike?
