American Idol Miami: Double the Pleasure

These two AI contestants have nothing but love for the judges. Like most friends, Corliss Smith and Brittany Westcott share a lot of the same the same interests.
The girls say they like the same foods… and activities. Both are boy crazy too. But they have a difference in opinion on what excites them in a man.
Corliss says she is looking for a “good man.” She admits Ryan is too skinny for her. Corliss points Randy out, “I want you.” She sang for him, was excellent and I think she really had the Dawg going.
Brittany Westcott, however, likes her men more like Simon. While her friend kept Randy busy, Brittany dedicated her song to the British judge. He too was smitten by this other impeccable voice.

Both gals impressed Paula, me and most likely you too. When they were finished singing, Paula gave them the green light to do something they both jumped at… “Now ladies go over and plant one on them.”
Corliss gave Randy such a tight squeeze that his red shoes were left dangling from his chair.

My goodness, they were like kids at a candy store.
And when they burst through the double doors to spread the good news...
The two made an ice cream sandwich out of Ryan. The host coached them, “Breathe deep.” Or maybe he was reminding himself…
Paula wasn’t starving for attention or anything was she? From the moment the show opened you knew she was feeling feisty just by the way she looked. Randy complimented Paula on her dress. And Simon more blatantly commented, “very slutty.”
Well, she really showed it off for one contestant. When Ghaleb Emachah started singing, Paula got all doe eyed and started swiveling in her chair like he was Antonio Banderas.

It wasn’t long after he finished that she got out of her chair. She was totally flaunting her body in that dress. It was like, hmmm… (swizzle hair,) golly gee… what ever should I do?
I like the quality of your voice, she told Ghaleb. However, she was concerned his accent was too strong. Let me inch closer and closer..
Before you knew it, Paula and he were in each others arms. She had made her way over to him. “I am not going to disappoint you,” he assured her. It turned into a real Harlequin romance for a sec.

I was thinking that same exact thing… about yesterday’s audition show from Omaha.
Someone needed to give contestant Julie “I don’t believe in mediocrity” Dubela a stiff drink... and tell her to take a break from the drama for a moment. Julie was on the show American Juniors when she was 12. Now, at 16, she thinks she’s ready for Hollywood, American Idol style.
Simon gave her advice, “go to LA and become an actress.” Paula chimed in, “you could be a very good actress.” Julie was steamed the judges weren’t falling all over her singing style and she started thinking about what she gave up to audition for this chump show. “The worst thing is, I was asked to sing at a Red Sox game and I gave it up.”
Paula made an interesting analogy about two different contestants... that no one has ever said no to them before. Julie was one of them she was talking about and Shannon McGough was the other.
Shannon tried too hard to sound like Janis Joplin. Randy told her she “might be tone deaf.” Shannon thought, no this couldn’t be. “I’ve never had anyone tell me I sing badly,” said the contestant who has been singing since she was three.
These aspiring child stars, is there any humility?
Suzanne Toon says she’s sick of struggling and is driven to win this competition so she can give her daughter more. She said she hadn’t sang in three years, since she was 18. That’s when she became pregnant. What? No lullabyes for your cutie pie daughter?

Under that rough single mom exterior is a softer side. Her sensuality really comes out in her singing voice. All the judges agreed if she polishes up and pulls it all together, she could be hot.
It was celebration times for the former boybander turned rocker, Robbie Carrico. When he walked off with three yeses, his family popped the confetti, fiesta string and firecrackers.
And who could possibly be happier...
Ramiele Malubray or her dad doing the H-o-l-l-y-w-o-o-d dance?
Syesha Mercado was told that she was one of the best out of the Florida auditions.
The judges all liked Ilsy Lorena Point too. Well maybe Simon had a little more love for her than the other two.
Natasha Black, was told she was a throwback. Her old school style was good enough push ahead to Hollywood. But what will she do when she gets there?
17 tickets were given out in Miami.
Atlanta is next.
Do you think we have already seen the next American Idol?
Is there someone you feel that strongly about already?

Giggity!
SYESHA remember her. She'll make it to the top 3 at LEASST
I loved Shockers & Scnadlas. It was a great walk down memory lane. The contestants are not the only ones with drama going on. The first few shows this year Paula seemed pretty calm but as the shows go on she is getting stranger and stranger. You never know what she is going to do next
What is 1day talking about? I think he or she got into whatever Paula was drinking last night and I think r.s. and face IT joined them. I have not seen anyone yet I think will go all the way. It is hard to tell just yet. They all seem to change as the season goes on and a lot will depend on how they improve. I will be curious to see how Corliss and Brittany do. Randy and Simon seemed to really enjoy them.
