The media is banking that Britney Spears follows the route of Anna Nicole Smith. There is nothing better for an entertainment career than to die, and the news media is just hoping they get lucky enough for that.

Um, my girls are a year older and a year younger than Britney and when she first began her career I remember in interviews she seemed very preoccupied with becoming a "woman" which I thought at the time was a little off. Does anyone else remember that? Anyway, regardless of why she is where she is it is obvious that she needs mental health care but if she doesn't see it and the people who love her can't make it happen nothing will ever change for her. I think she is having, and will continue to have, a really, really, unhappy life because of it. Her ex-husband may or may not have jumped on the Britney Spears gravy train, but now that the train has derailed at least he has enough common sense to look after his kids and so far he has had the good grace to keep his mouth shut about his ex-wife. Hopefully he will continue to do that for the sake of the children.

I say for everybody to leave her alone. She was a great person to begin with, and she still is,it's just hard for her when she lost the most important things in her life.(her kids,and her stupid husband that used her.) Not everybody is perfect, there's alot of people out there who lose their kids and their loved one and they too go crazy the way she did.....put yourself in her shoes without your kids, see what you would do!!! I believe every kid needs their mother, it's just a little hard for her to get back in track with the person she used to be. Britney Spears wasn't born messed up BUT if it wasn't for bad judgement and poor choices she would have had no judgement and choices. She is a long long way past the point of no return in my opinion.

There are legal remedies in my state to have someone who is obviously a danger to themselves and others be made to receive psych help (commitment).

SOMEONE in the position to do so should take the necessary steps to get her the help she so desperately needs.
