Moment of Truth is Crazy!

MomentofTruth.jpgAll week my boyfriend has been hounding me, saying, "We have to watch the new show Moment of Truth!" So last night we put on Fox to check out the premiere.

While I do have a few complaints -- like that the show is way too slow -- overall, I must say it was pretty interesting.

The premise: Prior to the show, contestants sit down for a lie detector test and answer 50 questions. Then 21 of those questions are asked on the show. If they answer them truthfully, they increasingly win more money. The catch: friends and family are there to watch, and, the questions are beyond embarrassing.

Here's a few from last night's episode that I had to share:

Are you prolonging having kids because you're not sure if your wife is your lifelong partner?

As a personal trainer, have you ever touched any of your female clients more than was required of you?

Have you ever padded your underwear to look more well endowed?

Have you ever gambled away one of your children's college funds?

Are you in love with your girlfriend?

Holy crap! Okay some of them are funny - like the well endowed one. But the ones about wives and girlfriends -- all I can say is WOW. The first man, who was asked if he is prolonging having kids (to which he answered YES), well I'm pretty sure his wife is about to divorce him. I have no idea how relationships survive after one partner goes on Moment of Truth.

Secondly, while watching it, I proceeded to ask every single question to my boyfriend (he probably regrets wanting to watch the show). At least it made it more fun for the home viewers!

Did you watch the show? What'd you think?

Totally crazy show!!
You are right, I am sure the wife (Catia) has some serious concerns about her husband.
You could tell after it ended and he walked up to give her a kiss she kind of stiffened up and turned away.

This show is going to cause some serious repurcussions for couple relationships, employer relationships, family relationships etc..

I predict the show will not be on for very long, not bc there wont be a demand for it, but more bc they will have a hard time finding contestants willing to do this.

Having said all that, it sure is an intense show to watch and I will be tuning in.
