TV Recap: Project Runway

Talk about a challenge, this week’s Project Runway was feisty, suspenseful and difficult, to say the least.

Since the models weren’t used last week, two were voted off this week. But there was something different about the models this week – and it was obvious as soon as they walked out. Each one had an avant-garde hairstyle.

What was unfair was that the models were chosen based on their hairstyle as opposed to their talent, but hey, nobody said Project Runway was in any way fair.

“This challenge couldn’t be better” Chris said as he gleamed at the camera.

They were instructed to create something artistic and conceptual, an avant-garde look that doesn’t even have to be wearable or practical. It just has to be ambitious, by definition.

With a budget is $300, and two days to complete the look, the designers were on their feet as soon as they were told they were working in… pairs. Nobody likes the sound of that- except the viewers, of course.

“If I was a diva my name would be ferosh” Christian enthusiastically said bragging about how great his team and outfit was going to be.

Christian and Chris decided to make a dress out of hundreds of tiers of layered circular ruffles.

Jillian and Victorya both started off on the wrong foot, as they are head-strong women who both wanted to be the team leaders. On top of that, they both have time management problems.

Rami and Sweet Pea immediately have problems, as well. Rami knew exactly what he wanted, and when he wanted it done by the minute. Laid back Sweet Pea was quite the opposite, and two clashed big time.

Suddenly, Tim comes in and tells the designers they need to create an additional, more practical and wearable look in coordination with their avant-garde look. They have to correspond.

Rami got so fed up with Sweet Pea that he made her cry, claiming she didn’t really have a strong look for what she wanted to create.

The designers also find out that the winning team’s looks and hairstyles will be featured in Elle magazine.

“In all honesty, I know we’re going to win. It just has to happen,” Christian said.

The judges loved Jillian and Victorya’s avant-garde trench coat; it was over the top and definitely candy for the eye.

Christian’s and Chris’s tier dress was “beautifully crafted,” and they were praised for working well as a team together.

Ironically, the judges liked Sweet Pea’s everyday dress better than egotistical Rami’s avant-garde dress, which turned out to be a disappointment.

The judges thought Kit and Ricky’s avant-garde dress was wrinkly and the ready to wear outfit was “equally disappointing.”

Christian took home the title of winner yet again, and Kit was asked to pack her things and go home.

I like to watch this program, all the real life people are so funny.. Most of them have great personalities.. On this episode Ramis was a bad sport, he dosen't work well as a team... He should have said sorry to Sweet P, because as we can all see they all have different working styles... That is what makes them unique designers!!
