American Idol Results: Just Call Her Sanjaya!
Kristy Lee Cook did a better job than usual. I'll admit that. But I'll say it again - as I do each week - she is the one with the least amount of skills. How is it that so many people are irritated by her and want to see her go -- yet she gets voted in another week? Who does she think she is? Sanjaya?
Sanjaya Malakar was season six's anomaly... which basically meant he had a huge fan base. Some were voting because they truly liked the shy teen. Others (like Howard Sern and votefortheworst.com) thought it was funny to keep him in the competition. Those mischievous voters took on Operation Sanjaya. He was finally eliminated at #7.
Chikezie Eze, by the way, had the least amount of votes this week. He sang himself off the show tonight. Gave the ladies in the audience a wink, caressed adoring fans' hands...
And we saw how his mom was grooving with those... come to mama... hand movements.
That cute smile of his. The orange suit. Chikezie always looks so sincere and genuine.
Tonight it was not easy being Chikeze. But I can grasp he's had it worse.
An American Idol show record of more than 30 million votes came in for the contestants this week. Tonight we saw the top 10 sing together. It looked more like a lip sync from the Brady family.
You know, the contestants really do work hard all week. They have places to be. They have to learn their group song and the performance as well as their own song... practice, practice, practice!
The competitors told us today (plug-plug) they get by with a little help from their iPods. We also learned that when you download the contestants' songs from iTunes, you get the full length version. An extra! Everyone loves an extra! When you watch the show, you are only seeing a condensed version of the song. I don't understand what Carly Smithson was doing freaking out seeing herself on an iTunes cover or whatever it was... Hasn't she already produced and sold records? And videos too.
The Ford video was very creative the way the contestants just showed up singing "I Want You to Want Me" on that guy's T-shirt. They all looked adorable.
I'm curious.. is any one out there entering the American Idol songwriter contest? Or do you know someone who is? The deadline for that contest is March 31 (this Monday).

Sanjaya it is. This chick has got to be showing skirt for someone.
you just hate Kristy don't ya. She still has a pretty voice and that is all I care. She doesn't suck like that indian guy. I love her.
Here’s my take. The last 3 standing will be Michael Johns, David Archuleta & David Cook. After that its too difficult for me to guess who’s gonna be the next Idol. They are all flawless. Both Davids however have a slight edge over Michael cos they are both a bit original when it comes to singing as opposed to Michael who just does Queen songs exactly like they should be sung. Whatever it is, am sure all three will be releasing records by the year end just like Chris Daughtry.
The indian guy hooly wasn't that bad of a singer. He just wasn't good enough to be where he was. Chikezie is my homie. I tthink it's great how far he got.
Chikezie is my main squeezie. I'm gonna miss you baby!
We had a lot of fun with this guy.
I can't write a song that quick.
I have plenty of songs that I've written, but I don't think they are American Idol's style. Maybe next year if they do it again.
hooly what do you love about Kristy? Her voice?
Kristy sang "God bless the USA"! A 4 year old could sing that and make it sound good. That's one of the easiest songs in the world to sing. Kristy needs to leave the competition, she's a horrible performer, and I think she has the least talent out of everyone.
I predict that David Cook will take it all. And, David Archuleta and Carly Smithson will round out the top 3.
it was easy to predict Kristy wouldn't get voted off by singing that song..if she could sing it every week, no one would vote her off...
Did anyone think that the way Chickeze's mom was moving was a little strange to do while her little boy was singing.
I know Chickeze would not have won but I don't think he should have gone so soon and Syesha should not have been in the bottom 3. Jason is far from my favorite but I am not sure he should have been in the bottom 3 just yet. What's going on
hey leave the indian guy alone ,..... he sang quite a few songs well. close ur eyes and listen .. dont b so racial .. i admit he was not the greatest ... but he wasnt as bad as sopme of them who got tot the final 12 and lets faces the comeption is more than just a good singer .. gotta b some one who entertains the crowd ... justin is the best example

I don't think she (Kristy) has let loose yet but once she gets that confidence to do so she would be great.. I'm rooting for her...I will tell you that I am getting bored with Jason Castro and Brooke White with their slow songs week after week.. Boring.....Step it up....
