Lisa Ling Returns to The View
I'll be the first to admit how emotional I was when I watched Meredith Vieira's first appearance on The View as a guest instead of a co-host. And now, it's Lisa Ling's turn.
Lisa, who currently works with National Geographic and Oprah, will return to The View for her first-ever guest appearance on the show, live Thursday, March 27 at 11 a.m. on ABC.
I had the privilege of interviewing Lisa when Meredith was leaving The View. My favorite thing about Lisa? She purposely joined The View so she could gain popularity in order to attain her dream job - a job at a network like National Geographic where she could take part in more long-form, educational journalism.
Not many people would leave The View for National Geographic. Pretty impressive.
The first time Lisa watched The View (which was when she heard they were looking for a co-host to fill the spot of the "young one"), she said she found it to be empowering to watch five generations of women talking about everything from politics to Tom Cruise. She said, "At the time I loved Tom Cruise, before he got weird."
Then in statement that proves why she left The View, Lisa added, "I like pop culture as much as anybody, but it felt weird to do it as a job."
I can't wait to set my TiVo to see Lisa's View appearance. Will you watch?

There will never be another Lisa Ling type on The View (other than with Whoopi and Sherri), Lisa was the only other time that The View definitely got it right - the right person!!!!
Lisa is truly a Class Act - Overall Intellect, True Personality and Good Looks.
I have always wished her well and will continue to do so.
She's appears to be very genuine and down-to-earth, I wouldn't expect to see from someone who comes from a background such as hers. It's said she recently joined a celebrity and millionaire dating site named " wealthydater . com"..She received lots of contacts.
"Jack", if that's what your name really is, do you honestly think anyone is stupid enough to think that ANY celebrity is desperate enough to be on your site? Please......Give it a rest already.
Dear Lisa Ling

I know you're busy as a bee, so I don't demand that you either read this right away or reply to it. I'm a 34-year-old gay male call center agent who dabbles in writing and makeup on the side. I just want you to know that you have a very huge fan here on the island of Cebu in the Philippines. Guess what, every time I go to the internet cafe, I spend four hours googling you and viewing your reports on YouTube. To say that I'm fascinated about you is an oversimplification. I think I'm obsessed! You are one of the toughest human beings in the world and I want to commend you on that. Everytime I see you on YouTube or on any video clip in the internet, I can't help being thrilled. I love the way you talk, you speak, you articulate your views on current issues. Funny, because at work where I take calls for ATT ISP members from America, I would like to not just think but feel you so that at least, in one way or another, I can sound like you to my caller. I'm sorry, but I don't mean to shortchange your people there. I'm just too obsessed! And, by the way, to one of my logins, I have my password associated with your name (which, of course, I can't tell). Lisa, I'm proud of you. I know you were born and raised and have always been in America, but then I can tell that you're of Asian descent and I'm proud to tell you that I'm a true-blue Filipino. Please continue to do good and inspire your followers not only in the U.S. but also the world over. Thanks and God bless!
