i am SHOCKED. my jaw is dropped. and ryan was evil to make that comment that last year no one went home. he gave michael and fans a glimmer of hope and then ripped it away. SO BUMMED.

I was shocked, blindsided! I used to like Carly but was actually rooting against her last nite. And I voted for Syesha who I feel is often dissed by the judges. But I almost voted for Michael. He was fantastic doing Dream On. I have to believe that when the show ended and Paula and Randy were whispering in his ear, that it *had* to be that he has a long career ahead of him in music (or, as I feel, in films). Remember Chris Daughtry was voted off too and look where he landed! Michael deserved a better fate but hey, this is America...who re-elected George Bush. So how smart could most of 'em be anyway? PO'd, obviously:(

My jaw dropped, literally. I will only continue to watch to hope that Kristy Lee Cook does not win. If she does, I swear I will never watch the show.....ever. Oh and how about the way he lead Michael to believe that since it was Idol gives back week and last year they didn't send anyone home that he might not actually go home???? What an A#$!!!

Lynda says: I was really angry about Ryan's comments at the end of the show after Michael Johns was voted off. To give us some hope that Michael might not go after he was talking about what happened last year after AI Gives Back was cruel, rude, hateful. Ryan needs to make some apologies to Michael AND to the viewers!

My sister thought she was pissed when she couldn't make it back to her family due to the American Airlines sh*t. Her kids don't care. They are too upset about Michael Johns to even notice.

I have always been a Ryan Seacrest fan but what the hell!!! I can't believe he would go out of his way to be so mean to Micheal and to the fans, who for a single second thought Micheal would be saved. With all the giving and good thoughts going into that show...why would he make such a nasty comment??? He better address this next week and apologize. America did get it wrong and I am thinking something is fishy about this because the judges (even though Paula looked completely surprised. they probably purposely leave HER in the dark because she would definitely give it away) didn't even say America got it wrong. And to you Ian, you are what is wrong with America, don't be such a sh*t head! Michael was so grateful and humble about being on the show and making it as far as he did. People like you are what gives this country a bad name!

He has always been polite, accepted critism well, was respectful of the judges. Ryan owes Michael and his fans an apology. He was way out of line

why are the judges always coming down so hard on Syesha? she really has a great voice...just as good as Carly. I think they have their favorites or who they want off and they comment accordingly. They probably don't want another african american girl to win right after jodan sparks. or whatever their reason is they don't give her the props she so righteoulsy deserves. she has an amazing voice and when she sang dolly parton's song and ended it with whitney's version she was right on the money!! i can't believe they all dissed her...things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm!

I was happy to see MJ go. He was good enough to get this far but “Good by and good luck!” He will become a star, for what that is worth. Remember this is a TV show! These Celebs are not people to emulate. They are some of the most empty unhappy people in the world and we worship them and follow their every move because they are rich?! Let the show be a little diversion from your empty meaningless life but don’t make it out to be more than it is. And Ryan Seacrest is a part of the show just like Simon. It is a ‘SHOW!” TW is not reality. American Idol being at the top of the list.
