The Real Housewives of NYC Reunion!

On The Real Housewives of NYC reunion...
The Beginning
Right off the bat, Ramona is back to her usual bitchy self and calls Alex out on the state of her home. Alex tries to defend herself (we're renovating, blah blah blah), and LuAnn cuts in to defend her... for a minute. She then changes her mind and says, "It was a little scary, Alex."
Bethenny then chimes in with, "You really are all show and no go." Will this reunion be Attack Alex Day? (P.S. After watching the full episode, yes it will be.)
LuAnn then makes a backhanded compliment, saying kudos to Alex for allowing the cameras in her house that way. C'mon guys! She's renovating! And even if she's not, way to be superficial!
Ramona
We now get a montage of awkward Ramona clips and awesome comments from daughter Avery of how inappropriate her mother is. While I get why they are showing the clips, does anyone really want to relive Ramona moments?
One of the viewer's questions was whether or not Ramona is embarrassed of the footage. I think we all know the answer to that: Of course not!
Jill
When a viewer asks if any of the ladies have had plastic surgery, Jill opens up her jacket and tell us that "Team Jill" is au natural. Lovely to know.
Now for Jill's footage, we see how she's such a "connector," or "yenta," as host Andy Cohen calls her.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, Jill's dog hasn't learned a thing.
On a more serious note, Jill's 25-year-old stepson has been in the hospital since filming due to a disease.
The Dinner Party
The conversation goes back to Ramona leaving early from Bethenny's dinner party. Then Ramona gets mad at Jill for making the issue "controversial." From there Ramona flips out, still angry that Simon was at the dinner party when she thought it was going to be a girls night. How are we still on this subject? And why is it such a big deal? Thankfully Jill lets Ramona know how rude she was at the party.
Bethenny
Yes! A montage of Bethenny's one liners. The best part of the show! Bethenny admits that she's a "comedy snob." We're so happy she is - she made the show!
As for Jason... the two are not engaged. Bethenny also says she wants to clear the record since everyone thinks he doesn't speak or isn't that into her. He's just not that into being on television. Totally understandable.
Talking about children, Bethenny then starts to tear up over the topic of adoption, saying she'd love to give a good home to a child who needs one. We love Bethenny.
Socialites
LuAnn starts to explain what a socialite is. Then Jill, and her ridiculous humor, chimes in and brings up the scene where Alex is in her kitchen, opening up the pages in the NY Times, and Simon is sitting there "drooling over the fact that you're in the society pages. Who does that?"
Bethenny then adds that Alex's claims that it's the editing is a crock. Bethenny's been on TV numerous times (she was on Martha Stewart's Celebrity Apprentice), and it always shows who she is - manic, nut job, whatever. This makes me love Bethenny more - when I interviewed her a few years ago, she brought up the same comment, saying that reality contestants shouldn't get upset with how they are portrayed. I'm glad she's sticking to her guns.
LuAnn
It's time for the LuAnn montage, showing what we all know: LuAnn is never home for her kids. However, she says that her nanny Rosie (who said that the parents should spend more time with her kids), was only referring to her husband. LuAnn is blind to it apparently.
Then we get to the issue of Bethenny not introducing LuAnn as Mrs. to her driver. Bethenny still doesn't get it, but LuAnn stands her ground. Oh well, to each his own.
Simon
Simon has joined the ladies! Andy says that there's been talk that Simon and Alex felt misrepresented on the show. But first, an Alex and Simon montage.
Alex and Simon are upset that the show makes them seem like they're always trying to move up in society. Bethenny responds by saying that on the show Alex said she wanted to achieve a certain social status. Then LuAnn says it's also the constant references to connections. Bethenny said they should own it and admit that they want to be in a different status than they are.
Simon continues to defend himself and Bethenny continues to argue against them. I'm on Bethenny's side. Who else is?
Jill then asks why the heck Simon is there. It's the ladies! Simon still can't answer the question.
Next, Andy asks Alex about her nude photos. She starts to explain that between her two pregnancies... oh wait, she gets cut off. Why? Because Ramona walks off stage. Ramona says it's because she doesn't want to be associated with Alex and Simon and the nude photos. I think that's part of it, but I also think she's upset that she's not getting all the attention. Agree?
Playboy
Just to set the record straight, none of the housewives would pose for Playboy. Well except for Alex. She's not sure.
Jill vs Ramona
There are now Team Jill and Team Ramona shirts available for purchase on BravoTV.com. All proceeds to go charity. I want Team Bethenny!
While Jill and Ramona start off friendly, even saying they're friends, it doesn't end that way. Jill calls Ramona a liar, Ramona says that Jill isn't the center of her universe, and that's that.
Jill and Bethenny
As Andy says, the twosome's like Laverne and Shirley. They really do have a funny relationship. The best part is that we finally get to see clips that didn't make it onto the show of Bethenny making fun of Jill. This is just more goodness!
Now What?
LuAnn will be writing a book on manners & etiquette and she'll go back into modeling, Ramona will be launching an anti-aging skin care line, Bethenny's new book "How to be Naturally Thin" will be out and she continues to work for BethennyBakes.com.
And that's it... until next season!

Wow! I found Alex McCord nude video at [...LINK...]
She so seXXXy ;)
Very good summary! I did feel sorry for Alex, but I guess at the same time she and Simon did set that trap for themselves - if there is a season II, will they be "blackballed" from society???
I'd love to get a psychoanalysts opinion on Ramona. Did you watch her body language? Big Defense mode. And lots of Diana Ross put your arms out in front of everybody to block them out moves. She's spastic, hysterical, frantic. Her wide open spastically blinking eyes indicate she's on some 'medication'.
She's immature, a 14 year old in a 45 year old's body. She's uneducated, doesn't have a clue about public speaking, etiquette, class, elegance, ambience, grace, oh yeah, and 'chronical' is not a word.
All the reunion did was to cement what a twit she is. Acting insulted that Alex posed nude was a clue that Ramona is hiding something that she's scared will come out too. I will bet the farm that she's posed nude and is terrified it will come out. Juuusssst wait. Being nude can't possibly insult her. She wears revealing clothes, dances provocatively with women, anything to prove she's hot. So nudity can't be her problem.
Alex was initially under the impression that being on the show meant she was of socialite status and misguidedly she and Simon tried hard to project that. Simon's showing up all the time is just his way of getting more camera time. None of the other husbands did that. He inserted himself very calculatingly, and the producers allowed this because it caused a sensation with the other women. If Alex was savvy to the business she wants so much to be in, she should have realized this and talked her husband out of it. They both try waaaay to hard to be something they are not. I would wager that this show prompted for the first time the 'togetherness shopping trips', the dresses Alex can only wear once, blah blah blah.
Neither one of them makes enough money to live like that on a daily basis. This was 'show'. And it backfired.
This is all about being famous, and promoting themselves in order to get MORE. More money, more fame, more ATTENTION.
