TV Recap: The Hills "A New Roommate"

Lauren, Lo, and Audrina prepare for a big night at out Goa, as Heidi and Stephanie do the same. When Steph tells Heidi that Lauren is going to be there, Heidi has hopes that she and her frenemie will be able to be civil. She says everything that happened between the two of them is "old water under the bridge."

At the club there is a Justin Bobby sighting and Heidi does her best "good friend" imitation and runs over to tell Audrina that her ex is there (while Lauren is at the bar, of course). When Lauren returns to the table, she ignores Heidi and tells Steph that she wishes she didn't bring Spencer's sis along.

Kinda rude -- I'm almost ready to tell Lauren to get off her high horse and get over it.

Justin Bobby gets to the table and sits between Audrina and Heidi. Lauren gets pissed, gets up and tells Lo that she wants to go home. She just can't pretend that it's okay that they are all sitting together.

The next day, Lauren and Lo talk about moving in together. They want to get a new house with Audrina, but she's not around to discuss because she's out to dinner with Justin Bobby! Lo says that JB and Heidi will not be allowed in the new house. Audrina and Justin flirt and have a nice time. They talk about having missed each other.

Finally Spencer makes an appearance when Heidi shows up at Stephanie's apartment. Heidi complains to Spencer that Lauren was "icy" towards her at the club the other night and Spence is unsympathetic. Heidi leaves in a huff.

Lo, Lauren and Audrina have dinner and L&L spring on Audrina their thoughts of moving in together. Audrina looks taken back and says she'll move in with them if they want her.

Next week: Laguna Beach's Stephen returns!!! Hello hotness!

Tracy, I am with you on Lauren getting off her high horse. She needs to be pushed off. Lauren needs to get over it, and be friends with Heidi or just let it go all together. They are going to be in the same place on many more occasions. Quit being childish!

And as far as Justin Bobby is concerned, that is for Audrina to worry about. Granted she(Audrina)has been hurt before, but so has Lauren, and Lauren has ran back to the same guys more then once, only to be hurt yet again! Lauren better change it up real quick, or i will not be tuning in.

Why the "high horse" comments? What I don't understand is that Lauren has time and time again said she didn't want to be friends with Heidi, let alone be in the same room with her. So why blame Lauren, when its Heidi who keeps pushing herself towards Lauren's direction? (I mean, it's for ratings, sure. But remove that aside, its not Lauren pursuing conversation with Heidi, it's the other way around.)

Also, Audrina has every right to be friends with whomever she wants. Audrina should know by now that being around Heidi is uncomfortable for Lauren, so she know better an avoid those situations altogether. Personally, I don't know why Audrina would actively want to be friends with Heidi, who accused her of flirting with Spencer and then ignored her without asking Audrina her side of the story.

The only reason i made the comment was because last nite on the show, Lauren really was acting immature in my opinion.

Normally i would not bash Lauren, because as you said Janice, Heidi is normaly the one "Stalking." But if Audrina chooses to be friends with Heidi, who is Lauren to bash.
She is now friends with Stephanie. See how that works?
And yes i know it's for ratings, but it got to me last nite.

Let me start off by saying that this show is most likely "fake" but I still enjoy it.

With that aside, I watched the scene at the club and thought overall Lauren handled herself well. I mean, imagine sitting at a table you just left a minute ago to find a person that bad mouths you every time she gets on the Ryan Seacrest show, sitting there. Hard situation to keep composure under.

I also found Heidi extremely rude to be talking how Lauren doesn't want Audrina to be friends with Heidi so loudly! Lauren is just TWO people away from her!!! It came across like Heidi wanted Lauren to hear her, so Lauren would confront Heidi or something. Could that conversation be kept on pause while Lauren wasn't in such close proximity?

Again, Audrina can be friends with who ever she wants. But I think it would be the classy thing "to do" as a friend, if Audrina avoided any situation that places Lauren and Heidi together. (Again, I am sure that this was done for ratings.)

Incidentally, I don't see the relationship with She-Pratt the same as Audrina/Heidi. I mean, She-Pratt was defending her brother (which in a weird, stupid way, was nice- in that family sticks together.) But she apologized to Lauren and has kept herself pretty neutral (besides all the gossiping of course.)

But She-Pratt never had conflict with Audrina or Lo. So Audrina (or Lo) hanging around She-Pratt wouldn't be the same as Lauren having to hang around Heidi.

Also, Audrina is in a similar boat to Lauren in the "judgement of friendship" department, because in one of the episodes Audrina wasn't thrilled about Lauren hanging around She-Pratt. So in a way, Audrina was judging Lauren's choices in friendship (which is what Lauren did). So you can't complain your friend does it when you do it too!
