Men in Trees Canceled!
Bad news for all you Men in Trees fans: the ABC drama has been canceled.
As Jenny Bicks, creator of the show, told TV Guide's Michael Ausiello:
"I wish the show had not been moved six times and put onto two long hiatuses. No show could survive that."
So true.
It seems to be a trend these days... if a show doesn't get excellent ratings after it's first two airings, it gets moved to another -- usually worse -- time slot. And if the show still doesn't do well, but is somehow luckily enough to stay on the air, it might even get moved a few more times. Apparently it's supposed to help the show -- but really, how can even the loyal fans keep track of when it airs?
Men in Trees will return to ABC with its last few episodes on May 28. If it's any solace to viewers who don't want to be left hanging, the Men in Trees team prepared for the possible cancellation by shooting an alternate season finale that will now work as the series ender.

I couldn't agree more. What was the deal in moving the show around to different days and time slots? Perhaps NBC or CBS will pick up the show. CBS needs new shows... hey knuckleheads sign on Men In Trees!

DITTO Sue, just what we need another STUPID REALITY Show!!
Doesn't anyone on ABC care what the viewers want??
We are subjected night after night to Crappy shows that we hate & when a good show comes along, they cancel it???
What is wrong with them?? I hope enough fans voice their opinion & force the show to be continued!
( I am just so angry!)

1-818-460-7477 press 2, then 3 for primetime, and then #636 for MEN IN TREES.
I absolutely LOVED that show! But every freaking week I had to hunt through the TV guide or the internet to find out when the HECK it was going to AIR! That show was clever and funny and refreshing, but even if you're a big fan, if you can't flippin' FIND the show, you cant WATCH it!
Men In Trees really was a fun show - treated V-E-R-Y !! POORLY by the ABC Network!! They didn't have a chance, NO SHOW could survive the changes, the moved time-slots, and the long delays that they put this show through. Heck, ABC was playing around with it even before the strike became an issue. I really thought ABC was better than that.
Men in Trees seemed to appeal to a broad spectrum of viewers. It was very well written and humorous, even sweet. The characters were endearing and I, too, feel ABC made a major blunder by pulling the show instead of granting it a consistent time slot. There are very few shows of such quality; does ABC want to air lesser quality programming? I would hope they may reconsider.
So I'm reading all of the celebrity gossip on People.com, and I see that Anne Heche can't pay her spousal support because MIT has been cancelled. WHAT!! I have it set to record on my DVR whenever new episodes come on, and I was wondering what was going on. This has been the best show in a long time that is NOT based on reality. I guess I'll just have to go back to watching re-runs of Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond on TBS.
I think these suits that run the programming need to provide trust to the viewer and maybe the ratings would improve on some of the TV shows. I don't invest the time into a show anymore because it may only make one season or they move it around so much I can't find it or take such a long break in between that I lose interest. The show was great and refreshing. I guess now we can look forward to another reality show, CSI Alaska, or another medical show. Great job ABC. Thanks god for cable.
Men in Trees actually was (and still could be) one of the programs we look forward to on a weekly basis. We would even watch the reruns.
So, please bring back Men in Trees. The story/plot needs to continue. We feel like we are in the middle of a book and someone ripped out the remaining chapters.
What can be done? Another network, cable network? Something.
You have to give this program a break. The network kept changing the time and night it aired, two times interrupted due to the writers' strike and other reasons...please give this show another chance.
The actors/characters did a great job.
Please bring the show back!
Men in Trees was beautifully acted and written, and I'm going to miss the show terribly.
ABC continues to disappoint viewers; can you imagine how betrayed the cast and crew must have felt with the way they were treated?
I've already written to HBO and asked them to pick up the show, and it won't be long until I write a few more letters to other networks who might have good sense to want to give viewers intelligent shows.
This really sucks! Where else can you find a 17 yr old teenager racing her mother to the sofa to watch the same TV show! We love this show. I am doing emailing, voing and even SENDING A TWIG TO ABC.COM in Burbank, CA trying to SAVE TREES. There are allot of people doing the twig thing. It's rather obnixious and I like it, so I'll do it for a few weeks, daily. It's what they get for jerking the show around then cancelling it.
Okay so they will run a show about (GAAAG!!) Swingers, but not Men in Trees? Why are they cramming garbage down our throats while dumping those that are enjoyable?
Time to turn off the TV.
