Jordana Spiro Talks About the My Boys Premiere
So who do you want PJ (Jordana Spiro) to take on the plane to Italy?
I'll admit that I already know who the mystery man is, but since I don't want to ruin it for you, let's just chat as if neither of us know, okay?
First, let's go over PJ's plane choices:
Let me just say this, Jordana told me, "Well there's a wedding… I'm not going to say if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but there is a wedding."
A wedding!? Between whom? I can't imagine any of those guys (except Andy) settling down just yet. Maybe it's Stephanie? My guess is that it's not PJ in the white dress.
It's not that I don't think PJ will get married at some point, I just don't think the time is now. First, Jordana said, "I think I know in PJ's mind the perfect guy would really actually be a combination of all of the guys around the poker table"... and that's not an easy guy to find! Second, Jordana joked, "If Johnny Depp wanted to do a little arc, we'd be cool with that... I mean I'd have to audition him, but I think we could make it work." Sadly for the ladies on the show, I'm not so sure Mr. Depp will be stopping by any time soon. Third, I wonder if the show can really go on if PJ finds Mr. Right?

- Matt Dougan, the Cubs player

Jordana says that is definitely a possibility. "The heart of the show is the friends and all the situations that they get themselves into, and all the entanglements they get into in life, and to kind of poke some fun at them. As long as we have enough storylines for that to keep going, then that's where the heart of the show is."
Agreed, but don't you think it'd be so much less awkward if, instead of a new guy at the poker table, "the one" would be one of the original poker table guys? Obviously PJ wouldn't get involved with Kenny or Mike (Jordana said, "There's Kenny and Mike who she hasn't had a relationship with other than a friendship. With the idea of can a guy and a girl have a platonic relationship? I think yes they can if there's no instant chemistry there.") Buttttt, there was instant chemistry with both Brendan and Bobby, so doesn't that mean something?
And, when I asked Jordana if we'll see any more love fests between PJ and Brendan or PJ and Bobby, she said, "We're going to go into that. Poor Brendan has a rough year this season. He really gets put through the ringer a bit." So, does that mean PJ will have to console him? "Perhaps. Or maybe Andy will and the show will take a whole different reaction," Jordana joked.
So will we ever see PJ in a good, healthy relationship this season? Jordana weighed in: "PJ has to [stop looking] a little bit, but she also has to make herself a little bit more available too at the same time, when it does come. She's a little bit of a guy in the sense that she doesn't want to give up what she loves for anything. So she doesn't want to give up her beer drinking, poker playing, baseball watching time. And yet she's frustrated that she can't find a relationship... She struggles with it the whole season actually."
Greaaaaaat. I just hope she struggles with it with a guy whose name starts with B.
