Date My Ex: Jo & Slade: Should You Watch?

joandslade.jpgWhen I first heard that Jo De La Rosa and Slade Smiley were getting their own reality show, Date My Ex: Jo & Slade, I didn't know what to think. Jo and Slade could be considered the most boring of the Real Housewives of Orange County cast.

Then Bravo aired a special called Jo & Slade: The Breakup and I was hooked. The show chronicled the ups and downs of the duo's relationship that took place during Housewives. And, I kind of fell in love.

You see, Jo and Slade were adorable together. They decided to break up—not because they didn't like each other anymore—but because they were truly at different stages in their lives. They remained the best of friends and still do love each other deeply... as friends... or so they say.

Any viewer can totally still see the connection between the two former lovebirds. So, why then, would I like a reality show in which Slade helps his ex-fiance find a date? Well, because I kinda-sorta-really-really hope they get back together.

Each episode Jo goes on a bunch of dates and then decides who she wants to go on a second date with. As the episodes progress, the second daters have to battle it out. But, the guys also have to live with Slade and Slade gets to watch all the dates on a monitor. (Um, hello heartbreak!)

Now I have to watch the show because I'm dying to know if Jo truly falls in love with another man (and Slade cries), or if Jo and Slade reunite and live happily ever after. Which are you rooting for?

Date My Ex premieres tonight on Bravo at 10 p.m. ET.

Jo and Slade are TOGETHER (I think we all knew that would happen!) :) She showed up with him at her 10 year high school reunion (Mission Viejo High) though probably not the best idea considering it was the weekend before her show airs!

what a stupid idea for a show...some people will do anything for money...it's all a sick joke, just don't know on who, us probably...watched one show, won't again!

I liked what I saw. So far, Slade looks like the best candidate (even though he is not).

What is up with all the stupid hats Slade is wearing? The beret to the side of the head while he was trying to have a serious conversation with Jo looked so dumb.

As intresting as all this may seem to be, does anyone see what jo and slade are seeing? I think this may be their past loves coming back for past loves. These boys that Slades' "pimping out" are all wrong for Jo. I do however think the ties that bind Jo and Slade together is something no person is ever going to break. I think this IDEA may help Slade understand in what direction Jo wants to do in her life. And if he truely loves her like he protrays he does, then and only then, will he really respect Jo, in her music and everything that Jo would ever want to do. Because it is obvious that both Jo and Slade are still into each other and they miss each other. So the only hearts broken on this show so far are the boys. PS- From an outsider watching this show. This is for Jo- I don't think David is the best catch for you. He is lying and sneaky especially with the newby's comming in, not to mention to Slade. I really don't think Jo wants to be managed and controlled. Although there have been some nice boys comming and going and shedding clothing and ect. But Jo- Do they even remotely compare to what Slade has given you? I say you and Slade sit down and express your love and feelings to one another and see if this is exactly what you both want. Because TV land see's that you guys are madly in love still. So work it out. And Slade, back off man and let Jo enjoy her career paths and decisions. A good suitor would back her 100 percent!

I hated the idea of the show when I first heard the trailer, then I loved the show after I watched a review of their breakup/s (after being a loyal follower of Housewives of the OC), so I gave it a shot; three episodes in and I'm now beginning to question BRAVO. I thought they were better than this, I thought they avoided scripted reality shows like this, that's the point of REALITY SHOWS!!!! Holy moly, this truly makes me sad, time for bed; my dreams are better anyway! xo *M*

I think this show is completely fake. None of her friends that were on the House Wives of OC are on the show? She has a new room mate? and best friend? I think her and Slade are still together, and this show is fake to promote her album. Each week she never picks the guys who are her type or seem the ones where she made a connection or would have a connection with. This show is boring and senseless any way...it makes no sense that guys she pick get to stay there for weeks and get to connect far longer than the next one.

Now who should have their own show should be Tanisha from the bad girls club. That would be funny.

I love money...mmm I think they dont think...How is Whiteboy and Real the stongest alliance but they can barely win a challenge? Last night Megan should have gotten Hoopz out of there hello no matter what there were only four people on her team. White Boy or Real would have to go in the box and one of them would be gone.

Slade tries to hard to be young with his shiny logo t-shirts and stupid berets. Leave that look for the younger guys because you look ridiculous Slade. You look old, tired and act like a little bitch instead of a man. Jo would not be hanging out with you if you had no money tommorow. You're an old fool.

The girls on this show wear too much makeup! I feel like scraping the foundation off their faces because it ages them by 15 years. They have nice features but all that eye makeup and excessive foundation is just not flattering at all. The Brit so called best friend is the absolute worst. It makes it difficult to enjoy the content of the show when you can't look at their faces. Joe might consider Pro-active as an endorsement deal because the blemishes on her cheeks are hideous. If you are going to be on T.V and want to represent the O.C invest in some skincare and a stylist. Pleeeeease!!
