While the new TV season is just getting underway, TWoP has taken a look back at the past year in television. Having failed, for once, to find an angle he can exploit, Vic Mackey turns up at his review board hearing -- his last chance to avoid forced retirement -- and finds his ex-wife and kids there to support him (after they've recovered from an abduction, because it wouldn't be The Shield unless Shane did something profoundly stupid). Vic claims he has a plan and cuddles his kids sweetly for a second before he's called inside. There's a second to anticipate: Will he take Aceveda's advice and use his children's illness to garner sympathy? Is he going to try to win the board over with an eloquent defense? Will he flip out and beat someone up? Is he going to pull out some trump card, some detail from a plot thread that we've forgotten?
