Are Izzie and George Leaving Grey's Anatomy?
Looks like The Chief made a no-no. Grey's Anatomy star James Pickens Jr. told Us Weekly that both Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight will soon say sayonara to the hit medical drama.
When asked if Katherine was leaving the show, James said, "Yes, she is. Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best."
Then, of T.R., he added, "He's going too. He just wanted to pursue other career paths."
Here's the deal: ABC has yet to officially let Katherine and T.R. out of their contracts, so technically nothing is finalized. That said, there's still a really good chance that you won't see Izzie and George as series regulars next season.
Of course, none of this news comes as a big surprise.
Remember when Katherine Heigl withdrew her name from the 2008 Emmy race and said it was because the Grey's Anatomy writers didn't provide her with award-worthy material?
That, of course, ignited the rumors that Katherine would soon be leaving Grey's.
When that story started to die down, another Grey's conflict took center stage: sources confirmed that T.R. Knight wanted out of his contract. Apparently his unhappiness dated back to the days when Isaiah Washington used the F-word on set. His dismal mood only continued when his storyline barely existed, save for George acting supportive to Izzie's sickness.
So, how do you think they'll bow out?
My guess: Remember last week when Izzie had blood taken at the same time as a patient, and when Sadie (Melissa George) came back with the results, she said Izzie's blood was fine but the patient had cancer? Well, since we know that Melissa is leaving the show as well, I'm thinking Sadie accidently switched those viles of blood, which will lead to her losing her place as an intern at Seattle Grace. Then, Izzie will kick the bucket and George will be too emotional to continue to work there, so he'll leave as well.

Your theory is exactly what I was thinking. The cancer will be the reason for the Denny delusions (probably brain cancer) and they can wrap up 3 characters with one story arc. I had a feeling that there was something weird about those blood tests.
oh please have Izzie leave. The story line of her and the ghost is just to stupid. How she ever let them talk her into it. As for George, good bye, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
That sux I really like George,he is a trip. I hate to see Izzie go to but i'll miss George more, because he makes me laugh:) But that was also my theory of the exits as well.

I actually was thinking the same. the bloos test will be switched and Izzie is very sick... very sad, I like her, but Danny the gost is kind of annoying now, even though i really like Danny...I liked Georde too....We need more new characters......i love the show any way.
let them both go and good riddens. she is such a pompous cow she makes me sick everytime I see her and he is a sorry excuse for a man even if he is playing for the other team. I hate whiners. It is everybody's fault but their own.
I heard she was leaving to have corrective surgery on her knees since they are on the wrong leg
That is so what i thought the blood test are switched and izzie is the one who is really sick and that is how she will leave grey anatomy. I will miss them both. it wont be the same when they leave. WISH THEM BOTH THE BEST OF LUCK!!!
I was thinking the same thing about the blood tests being switched. That's probably how she'll go.
I hate the thought of them leaving. They could have written a good story line with Izzy, maybe one that focused on her helping people in the clinic. The last one, with her teaching the interns, I thought was really good. The whole story line of Denny's ghost was just so lame.
And I really like George. I think he IS destined to become one of the best doctors.
But I am really happy to see Dereck and Merideth finally being happy together and working through problems. I was getting tired of all the drama there.
but we all kno that that's not the only reason that Sadie has to leave.
