Brothers & Sisters Movie vs Girls Next Door Finale
I have a confession to make. Last night's Girls Next Door finale made me cry. And yet, my favorite show, Brothers & Sisters -- which had a two-hour "movie" featuring Robert McAllister having a heart attack -- left me with dry eyes.
How the heck does that happen?
I was SO looking forward to Brothers & Sisters. I had even been preparing myself all week to two hours on Sunday night crying. C'mon, if you saw the previews, you'd know why. Kitty and Robert's birth mom was having their baby while something catastrophic happened to Robert. Plus, Sally Field had to get emotional, which means she'd give a great performance. To me, all of this equals an awesome episode. Right?
Wrong.
I was bored. For the first time ever in Brothers & Sisters history, I was bored. If you keep up on TV gossip, you know that Balthazar Getty's days are numbered. So, it was no surprise that Holly found the missing piece of evidence she needed to prosecute Tommy Walker. Next, since the previews told us that something was going to happen to Robert, we knew that baby McAllister would be fine. They just can't have that many depressing things happen to Kitty at once. This made the birth anti-climactic. And that leaves us with Robert's heart attack. I'm going to bow to all of you on this one, since I already knew Robert would be fine, killing all the suspense. But for those of you who aren't spoiler junkies, what did you think of that storyline?
Getting back to the beginning of this post, I didn't cry at Brothers & Sisters, though somehow, I got teary-eyed during the finale of The Girls Next Door. How could such a thing occur? Well, the finale featured Kendra Wilkinson moving out of the mansion, Bridget Marquardt leaving to film her new Travel Channel show, and Hugh Hefner realizing that his number one girlfriend, Holly Madison, was no longer happy with him. No, I didn't look at it as the end of an era. To me it was just sad to see three great friends -- who have had experiences together that none of us can dream of -- going their separate ways. And it's depressing to see an old man dumped.
There you have it -- my take on last night's TV. What did you think? Did you watch the shows? Which made you cry? Let me know your reactions. -- Jacki Garfinkel

I disagree. Brothers & Sisters made me cry. But, they kept proming that there would be a death. There was no DEATH. What's the deal???
me too i disagree also brothers n sisters made me cry to and what is the deal ?
I agree with Jacki on the Brothers and Sisters "moive". Too many things happening in one espisode. I was disappointed. We were robbed of some real talented performances.
Well I totally agree! I'm a big fan of Brothers and Sisters and after watching the 2 hour episode I wanted to cry but from disappointment! Worst episodes from the whole 3 Seasons!
