I think we all knew this was coming. Even though he has only been alive for 21 years (and, ahem, there's nothing wrong with that), he sure has more talent than any of the other contestants. Christian took the title of winner of Project Runway Season 4 last night, and I sure was not surprised.
His collection was simply stronger than Jillian and Rami's, which was the case in almost every episode. Lesson to be learned: big things come in small... very small packages.
"You will be showing to the largest and most influential in the industry- the world will be watching," Tim warned the designers about Fashion Week. This was no joke. Tim traveled around America to each designer’s abode in order to see how far they’d come with their collections. First stop: Christian.
“I'm 21 years old - that's fierce,” Christian bragged before Tim came into his awfully tiny New York City apartment.
Christian’s look was a romantic gothic kind of look, and he strived to make every piece a really strong look. Though Christian was clearly proud of his collection, Tim was fairly indifferent.
At the last challenge before Fashion Week the designers are feeling the pressure to create the their best piece yet and really “wow” the judges. With only five contestants left after Ricky being voted off last week, their fingers are geared up for sewing.
Tim was waiting for them outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the largest museums in the world with over 5,000 years of art inside.
“The first thing I notice walking in—it’s huge,” Rami said.
The museum was vacant; only the designers were allowed to roam the halls of the colossal museum
Tim told them that art has served as a critical and inspirational design for fashion, and their challenge this week was to choose a work of art for the inspiration to make the look of their choice.
This is every designer’s dream.
With Kit gone, the designers are starting to realize that this competition is no longer fun and games.
After taking a special field trip to Brooklyn on the water, the designers stood in front of a big garage with something hidden behind it.
That something was the raw material for their challenge; which was 500 pairs of Levis jeans and one yard of cotton on clothing lines.
They were instructed to create an iconic denim captures the spirit of originality and creativity that has lived in the heart of the Levis brand.
The designers had three minutes to run around and grab whatever jeans and cotton they could. Rami immediately went for the dark wash, and Jillian went for light.
Talk about a challenge, this week’s Project Runway was feisty, suspenseful and difficult, to say the least.
Since the models weren’t used last week, two were voted off this week. But there was something different about the models this week – and it was obvious as soon as they walked out. Each one had an avant-garde hairstyle.
What was unfair was that the models were chosen based on their hairstyle as opposed to their talent, but hey, nobody said Project Runway was in any way fair.
“This challenge couldn’t be better” Chris said as he gleamed at the camera.
They were instructed to create something artistic and conceptual, an avant-garde look that doesn’t even have to be wearable or practical. It just has to be ambitious, by definition.
It’s prom night for Project Runway! What a fun episode. With each week, the competition is getting tougher and the stakes are going of who will be named winner of Project Runway.
For this week’s challenge, the designers helped their New Jersey student models prepare and get ready for their prom night. As we all know, prom night for high school girls is one of the most important nights in her life, says Heidi.
Here’s the catch: the student models had a little extra baggage; their mothers.
With Jack and Stephen gone, Kevin is all alone with no roommates, and is not happy about it.
"It just sucks they're dropping like flies at this point," he sadly said. Project Runway is clearly not fun and games anymore. Was it ever?
This week's episode sure seemed like fun and games, however. The challenge was exciting, unique, and definitely didn't lack creativity.
Tim woke up the designers (surprise surprise!) and told them to quickly get dressed and meet him in the lobby. It was time for an adventure.
They arrived at their destination: The Hershey's Store in Times Square.
Their challenge was to use items from The Hershey's Store as the raw materials for the outfits of their choices. In addition, there was no budget for this challenge, but they have only five minutes to grab whatever they could get their hands on in the entire store.
They ran like madmen.
Well, Jack is gone. He was a great asset to the project runway team, and it's really unfortunate that this is the way he had to go. An infection on his face was only getting worse, and his doctor said he needed to come in right away for medical treatment. These are the times when life is unfair. We'll miss you, Jack!
This week's challenge was fun and different. First, the models are brought out. From her shadow, the first model was immediately mind-boggling. Some designers thought she looked like a monster. But as the models came out, everyone realized it was just a middle-aged everyday woman wearing her wedding dress.
Here's the catch: all the women (the models) had recently lost a significant amount of weight, up to 160 lbs. Each woman was wearing her favorite outfit from before she lost the weight. The designers were instructed to create a new look for these women using their old clothes as the material.
It’s the time of the holidays, and this means it’s time for giving. Top Chef decided to bring back a few of their chefs from the past three seasons and let them compete, or shall we say cook, for a prize of $20,000 to bring home.
From Season 1, Tiffani and Stephen returned. From Season 2, Josie, Betty, and Marcel returned. From Season 3, CJ, Tre, and Sandee returned.

Most of the chefs have gone places since they were eliminated from their respective seasons. Tiffani is opening her own restaurant in LA, and said she proves that Top Chef does change lives. Without this name, her restaurant wouldn’t have been possible.
Tiffani also seemed a bit bitter about not winning Season 1. She was runner up, but didn’t quite make it to the top. This was her time to shine.
Marcel went to Alaska after he was eliminated, and says he hasn’t stopped traveling for the past five months. Not such a bad life.
Stephen is also opening his own restaurant and following his dream of becoming a restaurateur.
Project Runway just keeps getting better and better. It’s especially fantastic when they work in groups, bring on the drama!
Jack got to pick his model first because he is last week’s winner, and he stole Ricky’s model. Tough luck.
They were told to pick one image from a collection of photographs of outdated fashion. The pictures included neon, cut outs, pleather, overalls, fringe, a zoot suit, and many other incredibly out of style-styles.
Their challenge was interesting, they had to re-create the trend. Basically, bring it back to 2007, but in a cool, fashionable, trendy way of today.

While some may think that the destruction of a tornado is horrific, on Wisteria Lane, a tiny bit of good came out of the frightful storm that struck.
Last week, Adam had a surprise visitor, someone from his past. Her name was Sylvia, and she wasn’t there to make nice.
Gabby was in the middle of telling her best friends that her and Carlos were moving away together in order to escape Victor, when Mrs. McClusky drove up and warned the girls about the tornado watch. Thus their goodbye to Gabby was rather short-lived.
Catherine spit in Sylvia’s face after finding out that she had visited her husband Adam the day before. Sylvia also claimed that her and Adam slept together. That put Catherine over the edge. Bree saw everything, and out of the goodness of her heart invited the broken-spirited Sylvia to her house for some tea. Not the best timing in the middle of tornado watch, Bree.

Who knew that men’s clothing could be so difficult? It seems so simple! Pants, a shirt, a jacket, and maybe a tie. But after watching this episode, we can all confidently say that this was a classic example of “it’s easier said than done.”
A first for Project Runway, this week’s challenge was also apparently a first for the designers. The designers headed down to 10 Rockefeller Plaza to meet Tim who would tell them their first challenge.

Tim led them into a room where the one and only Tiki Barber, once one of the best running backs for the Giants football team, now a Today Show correspondent, was waiting to meet and greet them.
He told them their challenge: to design an outfit for him that he would wear on the Today Show. He warned them about his intricate body, his wide shoulders, small waist yet large behind. Clothes just don’t fit him right. He said he likes dark colors, patterns, textures, and depth. He wanted personality in his outfit, he didn’t want dull. Comfort was key, as well.
Our lives are filled with surprises, whether good or bad. Susan, Lynette, Bree, and Gabby can all definitely relate to this, because "the mistakes of our past have a way of drifting back into our lives. And when they do, we have to pay for them.” And the girls are no exception to the rule.
Carlos feels guilty and wants to tell police what happened with Victor on the boat, but Gabby is against it and thinks they can get away with playing dumb.
Mike’s addiction has become a serious problem, as well as his happiness.
Bree, though not the biological mother of Benjamin, believes that because Andrew didn’t turn out so well, she’d like to change the way she raises her new born. She wants him to sleep in the bed with she and Orson, every night.

Sex and the City. Sarah Jessica Parker. Could an episode get any better?!
This week’s challenge was simply marvelous: to design a fall/winter two-piece outfit for Sarah Jessica Parker’s new clothing line called Bitten. The idea behind Bitten is creating high-end American sportswear at affordable prices, hence giving every woman what she wants.
With the designers having the privilege of picking their own models, this challenge was going to be top notch stuff.
When Sarah Jessica entered the design room to surprise the designers, there was clapping, laughter, and tears from designer Chris March. Sarah Jessica just has that affect on people (or should I say fashion designers who would give their lives to be able to design for someone like her).
The designers had only 30 minutes to create a design idea, and then pitch the idea to Sarah Jessica, who would then choose 7 designers to move forward with their designs. Those 7 would pick from the remaining designers to form teams of two in order to carry out the designers’ visions.
Finally! The premiere has arrived! And we can all agree that it was far from disappointing.
From Jerusalem, to LA, to New York, the fourth season of Project Runway looks eclectic, dramatic, and action-packed.
“I’d rather buy clothes than buy a bed,” Christian from Maryland blurted out when he first met his roommates. He’s clearly got nothing to hide, which includes his hair style.
The designers this season all have backgrounds of courage and independence, and are definitely not lacking in the experience department. There are designers of all sorts; marionettes, jeans, lingerie, and one even designs clothes out of his flower shop.
“Life is too short to have on a bad outfit,” cracked a designer when asked about her values in life.
Deception is the name of the game on Wisteria Lane. They’re all experts, and they all play the game like champions.
Bree’s new “son,” Benjamin, is turning eight days old soon. We all know what this means; something painful yet traditional is on its way.
Lynette’s mother surprises her family and friends one morning with a visitor. His name was Stan, and soon after he left, Stella forgot his name.
Orson and Bree invite Susan and Mike over for a dinner, because according to Susan and to Mike’s dismay, “that’s what you do in the suburbs.”

Orson has been scarred from circumcision, as his father was very against it so his mother had to wait until he went on a business trip. That was when Orson was five years old.
What goes around, comes around. That was the theme of this week’s episode.
Carlos and Gabby begin their plan to leave their spouses. As Carlos is packing up his things in hopes that he will slip away without any yelling from Edie, he’s brutally interrupted by the one and only. And she’s not happy.
Bob and Lee decide to have a Halloween party, and invite the entire neighborhood for the little get-together.

New neighbors bring new surprises, and Wisteria Lane is no exception to this.
Lee and Bob create a “work of art,” or as they call it, a sculpture, and place it on their front lawn for everyone to see. It took just as little time as it did to hammer that last nail as it did for the entire neighborhood to notice it, and hate it.

Lynette’s kids and their friends have apparently made rules for the adult in the house, no talking about doctors. That means no hanging out with mommy for a while.
Bree finds out that Danielle was kidnapped from the covenant by her grandma, who convinced her grandchild to live with her, keep her baby, and raise it there. So much for Bree’s baby suits.
Carlos and Gabby plan a get-away weekend at a nearby hotel while Victor is gone, but it is interrupted in the lobby by a past lover of Gabby’s, John the gardener, as well as his pregnant wife.
Though secrets, secrets are no fun, Wisteria Lane would not be the same without them. Everyone has something to hide, and each person will do his or her best to keep it in hiding, forever.
Catherine’s aunt, Aunt Lilly, returns home to spend her last few days of her life in peace, with her family. Little did she know, these few days would be anything but peaceful. Aunt Lilly just couldn’t go to her grave knowing what happened with Dylan’s real father, and knowing that Dylan has no idea. She suggests to Catherine that they tell Dylan everything, but that’s something that Catherine intends on keeping in hiding, and refused.
Susan has new next door neighbors, and they’re life partners. It took her a little while to figure out exactly what that meant. Benign at heart, Susan tried her best to get off to a good start with these nice new neighbors, but things just don’t go her way.
In order to win a game, the players must always be aware of the rules, teams, and strategies. That goes for all games, including games played by the women who live on Wisteria Lane.
Susan decides to host her annual charades party, which apparently is not exactly everyone’s definition of “fun.” After coming up with any excuse to not attend this party, the girls realize that maybe they could have some of their own “fun” at this little annual get together, now that there’s a first-timer, that is.

Bree spills the beans about Catherine and Dylan’s interaction that she caught, including the physical abuse. Because the girls are so desperate to crack Catherine’s secret, they figured as long as she’s invited to the party, and there’s lots of wine, what’s the downside in attending, after all?
Down on Wisteria Lane, nothing goes unnoticed. Though the inhabitants of the neighborhood may think they’re being sly, we all know that everyone knows everyone else’s business, it’s just the way their world goes round.
The problem is, nothing can really hide a secret when everyone knows that everyone has secrets. Which is why “in the suburbs, there is nothing more deceptive than a smile.”

Our episode takes off with Gabby and Carlos’s love affair, which is almost completely ruined by an intruder: our very own Edie. While Carlos is, according to Edie, “out for a run,” he makes a sneaky little stop over to Gabby’s house. After he’s been gone for three hours, Edie becomes suspicious, and knocks on Gabby’s door to find out where Carlos really is. Luckily, Gabby saves the day by making up a complex, but apparently believable lie, on the spot. She saves the day, and Carlos is able to get home without being caught.
Hosting live from Chicago, Lakshmi and the audience members were more pumped up than ever tonight for the season finale of Top Chef: Season 3.
Still in the mountains of Colorado, the three remaining cheftestants (Hung, Casey, and Dale) were preparing for their final shot at winning this competition.

The first morning, they were surprised by a delicious breakfast provided by room service, with a note attached. They were told to meet Lakshmi and Colicchio at the top of a mountain, and we all know the easiest way to get up there is a gondola ride.
After the chefs enjoyed a scenic tour of Colorado’s breath-taking mountains, Lakshmi and Colicchio presented the final challenge. It took place at the world-famous Aspen Mountain Club, whose membership costs over $100,000 and whose waitlist is years long.
The long-awaited season premiere of Desperate Housewives has finally arrived, and wow, what an episode. With so many new conflicts, burning questions and complications, who knows where this season will take us.
It starts with Edie’s suicide-attempt-gone-wrong story. Because she couldn’t take the feeling of not being loved enough by Carlos, she tried to kill herself. Here’s the catch: The timing didn’t quite work out. When she was expecting Carlos to come and save her, he was summoned to another obligation. Tough luck, Edie.
Flash to Gabrielle and Carlos -- now there’s a debacle. Gabrielle is less-than-satisfied with her deceptive new husband and misses Carlos more than ever. Luckily, he has mutual feelings with his Edie, so the former couple is, once again, a match made in heaven.

Unfortunately, after asking Gabrielle to run away with him at her wedding, Carlos suddenly has other matters to tend to, thanks to Edie, who is now in the hospital due to her suicide attempt.
In the beautiful, snowy mountains of Colorado, this week’s lucky four remaining chefs hardly had time to vacation. They were there to win, not to ski.
Without fail, Hung's typical arrogance came out immediately. He let everyone know that “compared to the other three contestants [his] skills and techniques are much more advanced. [He is] definitely qualified to win.”
This week’s Top Chef had the chefs cooking for a once in a lifetime chance to go to Aspen for next week’s finale.
“Being in the top five, it just feels amazing,” Dale said right before Sara M. expressed that “everyone is really excited because this tells you whether or not you’re going to go onto the final 4.”
Much to their surprise, the chefs had a rough morning yesterday. Instead of a mechanical alarm clock, they were woken up by a different kind of alarm clock: Padma Lakshmi. With her stomach growling and eyes of hunger, she definitely was not in the mood to wait long for a meal.
Top Chef is heating up week by week, and this week was definitely one of the more interesting ones. With a small budget and limited time, the chefs need to be quick and careful – a combination that can be very dangerous.
Off to a sentimental start, Hung expressed how much he missed Trey. He thought it was a mistake that he went home, revealing that “[he’d] lose to him rather than anybody else if [he] had to lose.”
