Perhaps now that Hayden Panettiere is 18 -- and no longer jailbait status -- she wants to spread her dating wings?

Us Weekly reports that the Heroes star has broken up with Laguna Beach vet Stephen Colletti, 21, after over a year of dating.

"Their breakup has been a long time coming," a source told Us. Hayden herself told the mag, "We are still very close friends and talk to each other frequently. We appreciate and support each other's careers."

Me, I'm pulling for Stephen to reunite with fellow Laguna alum -- and one-time BFF -- Lauren Conrad. A little Stephen infused into this season of The Hills will do the show some good.

E_JasonWahler_136.jpgThe Hills and former Laguna Beach-er Jason Wahler was arrested -- again. That makes four times in less than a year. Unsurprisingly, the most recent arrest, which occured over the Easter weekend, went something like this:

Jason gets drunk. Jason gets angry. Jason gets into fight with some dude. Jason punches dude. Jason passes out. Cops find Jason wasty-faced. Jason gets angry again. Jason calls the cop a bunch of unsavory racial slurs we'd rather not repeat here. Jason goes to jail. Jason gets out nine hours later on bail.

Oh to be the attorney on retainer for this kid... he's rackin' in the millions by the second! Wait, maybe that's why Jason needs to sell his supposed sex tape of him and Lauren Conrad... so he can pay his mountain of legal fees.

My prediction for what Jason will do next? Rehab, of course! That is the "in" thing to do in Hollywood when you get busted, after all.

E_JasonWahler_136.jpgWell, no one can say The Hills/ex-Laguna Beacher's Lauren Conrad doesn't have a thing for bad boys.

Her on-again-off-again boyfriend Jason Wahler is looking at 60 days in the slammer after pleading no contest to one count of battery. He has until May 4 to turn himself in.

Back in September, Jason and his model friend Kristin DeLuca were driving down Willshire Blvd. in L.A. when they were forced to stop because a tow truck was trying to move an illegally parked car. Jason, being the nice guy that he is, punched one of the tow truck drivers. Kristin kicked another one and spit in his face.

On top of his jail time, Jason was also ordered to attend 36 hours of anger management classes, stay away from all of the victims and go to 104 AA meetings. (His blood-alcohol level at the time of the arrest was almost three times the legal limit).

His partner in crime, Kristin, also pleaded no contest and was sentenced to two years of probation.

Jason's plea comes just a week after he was arrested for a separate incident in which he is charged with resisting a public officer during an underage drinking raid. Remember, this kid is only 20.

Sounds like a stand-up dude. Do you think he deserves to go to jail?

Hey Beach Bums!

Sigh. It was graduation day in Laguna as the Seniors prepared for their big day, and the Juniors complained that they were being left behind. Derek, Kelan, Chase and Nick moved their tassels to the other side, as Kyndra, Cami and Cameron looked on. The girls cried while the boys celebrated. You know, a typical graduation.

Rocky celebrated with Alex at his graduation and gave him a NICE IPod Nano as a gift. She later confided in her mom that she feared Alex would move on to bigger and better things now that he is off to college.
The super-pretty couple have a heart-to-heart on the beach of what's to come and Rocky and Alex decide to stick it out and try a long-distance relationship while he's away. Alex gives Rocky a creepy looking ring to seal the deal.

Cameron and Kyndra threw a "beginning of summer" barbecue at Cameron's house. Kyndra fought with Cameron because he wasn't emotional enough about his friends graduating. Man, she is so annoying. I bet he isn't sorry that whole Cabo hookup didn't happen. The twosome do manage put together a video of the good times with their Senior buddies that was actually quite touching.

Hey Beach Bums!

We got a double dose of Laguna this week, as the school year came to a close. The boys went all out with their big popping of the prom questions. Cameron asked Tara, Kyndra snagged an invite from her friend, Alex M., some dude named Matt asked Cami, and big Derek came out with the most original proposal by getting his and Lexie's name on a theater marquee. It was a bunch of random pairings, so my expectations were disappointingly low.

Alex and Rocky met up at the beach and Alex renegged on his breaking up with her. Rocky played hard-to-get for a minute but then gave him another chance. Alex laid it on thick, no? I'm sorry but he's lost me. At least Rocky
admitted to her mom that she was having trouble trusting him completely. Like I've said before, she is a smart girl. Oh, and Tess planned to take Alex's friend, Cory, as her date to prom.

Lexie was adamant that she does not like Derek and would not hook up with him on the big night, as Derek told Cam he's going to try and score. I think Lexie is a big, scared prude. Why wouldn't she kiss Kelan on Spring Break and why is she so sure she would never kiss Derek? I'll tell you why - because she's terrified. I'd be surprised if this girl has ever kissed anything but her pillow. Oh, and a sidebar, how jealous was Breanna that Derek asked Lexie? So transparent. An correct me if I'm wrong about this, but did Alex ask Rocky to HER prom? I didn't think you could do that.

Lexie hosted a pre-prom party, in her ocean-front mansion, that everyone attended. Wasn't your prom just like that? Mine was - in Brooklyn.
The prom looked like a rockin' time for everyone except for Rocky and Alex, who started with the awkwardness before they even arrived. In the limo, on the way back, Lexie bailed on Derek because she "has dance really early in the morning." Um, it's PROM NIGHT! Such a lame-o.
Derek threw the after party at his house where there was lots of dancing on the coffee table. Tessa and Derek reconnected with some smooching and Alex and Rocky did some of their own making up.

Lexie's dad took the girls out on his enormous boat and they dished about the boys in Laguna. Apparently Breanna has had a lot of men and is sick of Tessa saying that Breanna steals all of her boyfriends. Ew! Breanna is gross and Tessa is much better than her.
Do you see how I turn into a 15 year old girl when I watch this show?

Chase and Kelan's band prepared for their biggest show ever at The Roxy in L.A. The kids from Laguna squeal at the thought of a road trip and all head to Los Angeles to show their support. Tessa and Derek got their kiss on while Breanna tried to make trouble. Chase's band rocked the house and the boys hoped for good things to come from the show. Soon after, the band got a call that they've been signed to Epic Records! I was almost as happy as they were. It goes to show that even rich kids can work hard and obtain their dreams. Chase shared the good news with Tessa and their chemistry just oozed out of my DVR box. What is holding them back? I almost can't take it.
Don't miss next week when we watch our kiddies walk down the aisle toward their future, filled with many MTV "Where are they now?" specials. Be here for the season finale -you know I will.

Hey Beach Bums!

Spring Break is back and better than ever! Our Laguna-ites prepared for their Spring Break trips and we find out early that Tyler is also going to Cabo (um, he's like an old man stalker) and that Tessa and Rocky are NOT going. The girls are headed to Virginia to spend some quality time with Tessa's family. How sweet. See, these are the nice girls. Though I'm nice and I wouldn't give up a trip to Cabo. Anyway, I digress. Tessa hopes that absence will make Derek's heart grow fonder and that he'll want her back when he returns from Mexico. I don't see it going that way, Tess, as Breanna sets her sights on Derek.

The kids arrive in Cabo and head straight to the pool. Kyndra walks right past Tyler and starts making some waves with a hot, wet Cameron. Tyler is obviously seething but plays it off to his pals. Later, Tyler parades girls in front of Kyndra, who is steaming mad at his audacity. It appears that Kyndra and Tyler's PARENTS are on this trip, as well. I know you want to know why, but I can't help you there. My parents certainly did not want to see anything I was doing on Spring Break.

Kyndra and Cami get all fired up and dance on the bar. An obviously drunk Kyndra hits on Cameron and makes him think he's going to score. As they're on their way out of the bar Tyler calls Kyndra a slut and drama ensues once again. Kyndra leaves Cam hanging and goes off to set things straight with Ty. The terrible twosome end up getting back together and making out all over the dance floor while everyone looks on and tries to keep their burritos down.

The next day, Cami rips into Kyndra for her pathetic actions from the night before. Kyndra doesn't defend herself, because she can't, and the girls move on. Cami scores points for honesty, and for having ridiculous boobs.
At the club, Derek and Breanna make out while Kelan freaks out that he and Lexie are never going to hook up. Get a backbone, Kelan! I'm even sick of your pining an we've only seen you, like twice, this whole season!

Then it happened - I actually gasped, out loud, when Kyndra saw Tyler frenching some girl on the dance floor. These two are SO dysfunctional that it's appalling and fabulous all at the same time!

And so another Cabo trip comes to a close, with hookups and breakups galore, Laguna doesn't disappoint. Have I told you lately that I love this show? Are you feeling the love too? Holler back and share your thoughts with me as I anxiously await for next Wednesday.

Hey Beach Bums!

So, Chase's band is playing some big concert this week and Laguna is all a buzz with anticipation.
Alex and Stephen ask Lexie and Rachel to go to the concert with them and, although the girls are skeptical about Alex, they agree to go.
Derek acts all cool with Cameron and Nick and says that he doesn't have real feelings for Tessa. Tess and Raquel gab over Derek's lameness when Chase shows up to make it all better. He defends the male species with some ridiculous rant about how sometimes guys just need their space and there's really nothing to worry about until a guy ignores you for three days. What? No self-respecting chick waits to be ignored.
Nick is all a glow with thoughts of taking Rocky to the concert. When he picks Rock and Tessa up he tells Raquel that she looks like she's "going to a debutante ball." Not exactly the way to make a girl comfortable on your first date, but what would you expect from a dork like Nick?
Derek gives Tessa the cold shoulder at the club, as Alex does the same to Rocky. While Chase gets treated like the rock star that he is, Alex brags to Breanna that he broke Rocky's heart. Rocky tries to make the most of the evening by hanging with Nick and enjoying the music when a jealous Alex calls her a slut! The nerve! I was outraged, I tell you. Outraged! A broken-hearted Raquel cries behind a car in the parking lot and I wanted to just curl up next to her and tell her that boys will always be that stupid.
The next day, Tessa stops by Derek's place to confront him about his brattiness. She gives him the option to be with her or without her and he chooses without. Kinda harsh, no?
Next week- CABO, baby! I am so there- join me, won't you?

Hey Beach Bums!

It’s not looking happy for Raquel this week, as Alex tells E.J. that he’s thinking of breaking up with Rock because she’s way too intense for him and he just wants to be single. E.J., sympathetic man that he is, says, “sucks for Rocky” and the boys are on their way. Doesn’t make you miss high school now, does it?

Rocky and Alex meet at the beach and Alex tells her he is confused about their relationship. Raquel vows she will change and offers to back off and give him some space. She makes it extremely hard for him to break up with her and basically begs for a second chance, to which he agrees.

The kids are a buzz about the upcoming beach bonfire, and all concerned because of the “freezing weather.” It’s tough to have to wear a sweatshirt in the dead of winter.
Lexie and Rachel are having lunch when Alex and his friend Stephen roll up to the girls for some awkward conversation. They do a little flirting and, when the girls leave, the guys giggle about how cute they are. Stephen suggests that Alex get rid of Rocky ASAP.

Laguna’s manly men meet at the beach for some Top Gun wannabe volleyball before the bonfire. Cameron makes it a point to take off his shirt and show off his killer abs, just as the girls show up. Kyndra and Cami complain about the sand. Yes, that’s right, they complained about the sand. In Laguna. At the beach.

At the bonfire Tessa and Raquel are, once again, treated like outcasts. Nobody talks to them and there is plenty of talking and whispering behind their backs. It is so sad and infuriating that those ogres outshine these nice girls. Alex and Rocky go for a walk and Raquel badgers him to speak his mind and express his feelings. Alex finally says “he’s done” and “he’s sorry” and Raquel pretends to be strong and walks away. Within minutes Alex is macking on Lexie and getting her digits – right in front of Raquel!
Next week looks juicy, too. Can’t wait to see you then!

Until next time,

Hey Beach Bums!

Back from Europe this week, Jessica vents to her friend Emily about Cameron and Kyndra’s winter formal hookup. Jess goes off on Kyndra, calling her every name in the book, but gives Cameron enough credit to have dinner with him that night. This is a perfect example of why Jessica irks me. She should be mad at CAMERON, who is supposedly her boyfriend. She rates so high on the Laguna Beach Pathetic Scale that they may have to get a new one if there’s another season.

At dinner, Cameron and Jessica argue about their relationship but Cam calls Jessica on her “flirty fighting”, which is so dead on! She was so obviously looking for reassurance that Cameron likes her better than anyone else, but got nothing. It was quite painful, actually.
The next day Jessica tells a friend that Cam said that he’ll always love her but he’s not “in love” with her. That’s almost as bad as ‘it’s not you, it’s me.” Later that day at the park, Cameron officially dumps Jess, and believe it or not, I felt sorry for her. I’m a bigger wuss that Cameron is.

Tessa goes out on a great date with cutie Derek, and things get serious when Derek wants to know the deal behind the animosity between Tess, Cami and Kyndra. All is cleared up when Tess reveals that a couple of years back she was hospitalized for three weeks due to an allergic reaction to a medication. While she was recuperating, nice girls Cami and Kyndra dropped off the radar. Really Tessa, like they had time to visit a sick friend when there was shopping and bitching to be done. Please.
Cut to Cami and Kyndra shopping and bitching about Derek and Tessa dating, and how they can’t understand the attraction. But the real jaw-dropping moment of the night came when the cashier told Cami her total was $4,285. I’m sorry, WHAT? I think my dinner just came up.

Derek throws a barbecue and before his new love Tessa gets there, Kyndra, Cami and Nikki dog her in front of the boys. Right after Tessa arrives, the meanies make their exit. I was so annoyed! These girls make me want to fly to Laguna and kick some beach ass. Tessa is bummed from the whole situation and hopes for better things to come. I hear ya, sister!

Before I sign off, let me pose one last question: How annoying is Cameron’s friend Nick? If I could reach through the screen and beat him, I would. I can’t decide what bothers me most about him; his utter desperation to be as cool as he thinks Cameron is or his incessant nonsensical blabber. What are your thoughts?

Until next time,

Hey Beach Bums!
Love is kind of in the air this week as Valentine’s Day approaches on Laguna. Raquel and Tessa are in the kitchen baking up something special (these two are just a couple of regular Betty Crockers, are they not?) and Rocky is rubbing it in to Tessa that her boyfriend, Alex, is planning a special V-day surprise for her. Tessa gets a backbone and (not) jokingly tells Raquel to “shut up” with all her swooning, because Tessa is sans a Valentine.

Kyndra continues to lie to Tyler, sticking to her story that all the rumors about her hooking up with Cameron at the dance are completely false. It’s obvious that Tyler does not believe her but he continues to be passive-aggressive and just gives Kyndra a creepy “whatever.” I think he might be a sociopath, like that crazy guy from Silence of The Lambs. Anyone? Meanwhile, Candace, Cami and Rachel dish about the Valentine’s Day party at Tyler’s house. Cami says she’s looking forward to the inevitable fight that Kyndra and Tyler will have. This girl is a piece of work! The old proverb “with friends like that who needs enemies” should be written on Cami’s tombstone.

Alex picks Rocky up for their date and takes her to a beachside dinner where these two lookers gaze into each other’s eyes. Rocky tells Alex that she loves him and, after a torturous silence, he reciprocates. Whew! I was worried that was going to be one of the moments that Raquel would never live down…
Cut to the next day when Alex and his friend talk about the previous night and Alex basically says he’s so not in love with Raquel. What to believe? If I feel betrayed, imagine how Raquel must feel watching this. It breaks my heart a little bit.

At the weirdest Valentine’s Day party ever, Cameron shows up and tries way too hard, along with Kyndra, to play it cool. Cam and Nick act like schoolgirls and make fun of Tyler at the dinner table while Kyndra feels awkward. Tyler calls Kendra on her obvious preoccupation with Cam, as Nikki takes the opportunity to cuddle with the stud.
The next day, Kyndra and Tyler battle it out and he kicks her to the curb. Chalk this up to just another happy Valentine’s Day down in Laguna history.

Until next time,

Hey Beach Bums!

It’s Winter Formal time for our tan lovelies of Laguna this week, and the theme for the dance is “girls asks guys”. Poor Kyndra can’t take her creepy boyfriend Tyler because he is way too old to go to a high school dance, so she asks her friend Derek with a pizza. Does anyone else see a problem with this?

Lexie asks Kelan to be her date by wrecking his car with paint, balloons and silly string, which is probably why Kelan’s response was a big unenthusiastic “I guess”. I hope Lexie was planning on paying for the car wash. If you ask me, Raquel had the right idea, though I wasn’t quite sure why she was so nervous about asking her boyfriend to be her date. Anyway, she set up a nice beach picnic for Alex and explained why the formal was so important to her. Alex didn’t hesitate for a second and was totally looking forward to the big night. What a sweetie, huh? I like these two; they make me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Before the formal, Kyndra promises Tyler that she “won’t dance like a crazy girl” and that she will be on her best behavior and Cameron and Kelan talk about who will and won’t be hooking up. Kelan says he won’t make a move on Lexie because he can’t stand the rejection, while the guys speculate if Cam will hook up anyone. Can you see what’s coming friends? While getting the ever-necessary mani-pedis, Kyndra expresses to Cami and Candace that she hopes not to lose “her morals and her shoes” at the dance. I seriously had to rewind that just to hear it again. Where do they grow girls like this? Duh, Laguna, obviously.

At the formal, Nikki, Tyler’s sister, is keeping a close eye on Kyndra, who is flirting, big-time, with Cameron. Kyndra even whispers in his ear that she loves him! Cami hosts an after-party, where Kyndra admits to the hostess that she hooked up with Cameron. She makes Cami promise not to tell anyone but Nikki is apparently the only smart girl in Laguna. She totally calls Kyndra out and tells her she thinks she’s lying about not getting with Cam. You go, Nikki. I like a girl who protects her family. Let’s just hope she tells her bro and then, hopefully, we won’t have to see much more of him. Let me know how you feel about Tyler, kids. I’m starting to think I’m the only one who gets the willies from him.

Until next time,

Hey Beach Bums!

This week on the sultry sands of the real O.C. it was Cameron's birthday. As he shopped for a new guitar that his parents were going to buy him, he chatted with his incoherent bud, Nick, about Tessa's annoying text messages. Nick told him that Cam was obviously just "shopping around for chicks," to which Cameron responded "Dude, what are you trying to say?" Exactly my point.

Jessica and Alex met for lunch and Jess 'fessed up that she was still hangin' with Cameron on a regular basis, even though he is still only in high school. Yes, Jessica, we can't even imagine you spending time with someone SO immature. Is she kidding?

Cami has a pow-wow with her friend Candance over Kyndra's "much older, on-again-off-again boyfriend," Tyler. The girls are sure Ty will end up breaking Kyndra's heart for the umpteenth time, and the good friends that they are will have to say "we told you so." Meanwhile, Kyndra heads to Tyler's house for a romantic backyard barbecue and Ty asks her if she wants to get back together. They seal deal with some steamy kisses by the outdoor fireplace. Just so you know, Tyler could not be more creepy and unappealing, and if his stock couldn't drop any further, we see that he's pals with last season's trouble maker, Jason. This guy is bad news.

At Cameron's birthday bash, Cami and Jessica pretend to be friends for five minutes so they can rag on Kyndra and Tyler's doomed relationship. At the same time, the dysfunctional pair go out for dinner and argue when Kyndra brings up their age difference. Tyler doesn't understand why she has to harp on the fact that he was eighteen when they met and she was only fourteen. I mean, really Kyndra, it's so not a big deal that he likes little girls. Sheesh.

Back at the party, Cameron and Jess are canoodling when Tessa shows up all ready to give the birthday boy some birthday lovin'. Obviously crushed, Tessa bails early. The next day she and Raquel commiserate on what a dog Cameron is, but Tessa calls him anyway to talk about their situation. He dodges her call and leaves her waiting by the phone while he hangs at the beach with his buddies. I would have felt bad for her if I thought Cameron was any big loss - but I don't.

Hey Beach Bums!

This week in Laguna it was road trip time for Tessa and company, as those crazy kids headed to San Diego to watch Tessa do some modeling. Before the trip, Jessica and Cameron hit the gym in one of the most annoying and pathetic Jessica scenes in Laguna history. She whined and complained about doing a total of four chest presses, barked at Cameron not to step on her keys, her sunglasses or her Sidekick, and then just gawked at him while he flexed some major muscle. She really gives women a bad name.

Chase grilled Tessa on her feelings for Cameron and seemed just a tad uncomfortable when Tessa said she thought there might be something between her and Cam. If only Chase didn’t love that band of his more than her. Sigh.

On the ride to San Diego, Cameron and his friend, Nick, have a very intelligent conversation filled with so many “likes” and “dudes” that I barely followed what they were talking about. I’m pretty sure Nick told Cameron to get rid of Jessica and that he should try to get with Tessa. The talk ended with the very deep and original “what happens in San Diego stays in San Diego.” Those boys slay me.

After the fashion show, the gang got ready to go out to dinner as Tessa and Cameron reminisced about a summer of yesteryear that they spent together. Both of them giggled and blushed profusely, so you know something good must have happened. After dinner, the twosome rekindled some of that summer lovin’ at the hotel. The next morning Tessa told Raquel that she really likes Cam and plans on hooking up with him again.

Back in Laguna, Jessica and Alex H. talk about who Jessica’s perfect man would be. She basically describes Cameron to a tee and Alex says that Jess and Cam “are destined to be together.” Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Alex say that about Kristen and Stephen?

Jessica and Cameron later met up on the beach and Cameron told Jess that nothing happened with Tess. Did he not know that this was being filmed?

Until next time,

Hey Beach Bums!

Right off the bat this week we got a little lovin’ from last year’s Laguna looker and The Hills star, Lauren. It seems as if L.C.’s little sister, Breanna, is a part of the new crop of sun-soaked teens. So we have the very clever Lauren, giving her sister advice on how to survive high school in Laguna. You see, Breanna used to be best friends with Raquel who is now best friends with Tessa, who is not liked by Breanna, which strained Breanna and Rocky’s bond. You with me? So, Breanna and Raquel meet for an extremely awkward Italian lunch to discuss their situation. In a nutshell, Raquel started hanging with Tessa, who is obviously much cooler than Breanna, so Breanna got all of Raquel’s friends to ignore her. Raquel seems to be much happier with her new clique and Breanna is the one who is crying in her pasta. I say Breanna should get used to lying in the bed she made.

On the romance front, Chase makes Kelan to go out to dinner with Lexie and her friend Tara because he’s sure Kelan and Lexie are the next match-made-in-Laguna. The foursome goes to a fancy French restaurant where they spend five minutes just trying to pronounce foie gras. Kelan is uncomfortable and annoying and there are absolutely no sparks igniting at this table.

Breanna throws a pool party at her resort-like home and Raquel is the bigger person and shows up. Everyone there basically ignores her, even Breanna, who is apparently the most spineless loser of the bunch. Let’s just say there is no way this sister will be getting her own MTV spin-off.

Until next time,

Happy Holidays, Beach bums!

I know -- it's August. But it was time for some holiday cheer in the real O.C. this week and Rocky threw her annual Christmas party. We got to meet her new hot boyfriend, Alex, who goes to another school. Can you believe it? These kids really do date outside their species.

In a feeble attempt to avoid drama, Rocky decides not to invite Kyndra and Cami to her party. Of course Kyndra and Cami decide to go anyway, but explain that they aren’t crashing the party, they are simply showing up uninvited.

Ohhhhh, well why didn’t they say so in the first place?!

Anyway, the minute the girls enter the claws come out. Apparently, a friend of Raquel’s said that Cami was dirty! Needless to say, Cami was not happy, but being the great best friend that she is, Kyndra confronts the poor, unassuming girl who has no idea what is going on. Kyndra then declares this “officially the lamest party she’s ever been to,” rounds up her posse and heads for the exit.

The next night at Kyndra’s party, Cameron’s buddies rib him about Jessica, who he, once again, denies dating. Kyndra is totally bummed when Cam leaves early to go hang out with Jess. Can we say helloooooo karma? Kyndra pretends not to care and generously says that Jess can have Cameron. Like she had a choice. Jessica and Cameron have a sweet lunch together and make plans for later that day. But remember, they're not dating.

Until next time…

LagunaBeachChase_325.jpg

Hey Beach bums --

In the episode entitled “Who Wants to Date a Rock Star," it was our heroine Tessa’s 17th birthday and all she really wanted was a little love from her best “friend” rocker Chase. We found out that these two have dated twice in the past, but because Chase is “so into his music” nothing much has really materialized. It’s obvious that there is a mutual attraction between these guys and it seems that they may be the couple to root for this season.

On the other side of the beach, Kyndra got ready to go out with Cameron. She had on quite the skimpy pair of short shorts with some nice high heels, which had her mom raise an eyebrow. “That’s quite a hot outfit for what is not a date,” Kyndra’s mom so motherly commented. If you ask me, I think her mom wanted to go out with Cam. Kyndra didn’t notice though because, horror of horrors, her mascara was missing! I tell you, the things these kids have to endure. At dinner, Cameron denies that he and Jessica have anything going and insists that they‘ve only hooked up once. Cut to Jessica, with her mom, pining over Cameron. It’s suddenly all quite clear why Jessica’s self esteem is as low as it is. Her mom basically told her that Cameron is “too cute” to be waiting around for her, and that she should take a lesson from, that stellar role model Kristin Cavallari and learn how to make guys dance.

Rocky -- Tessa’s best friend -- plans a surprise party for Tessa’s big day and Chase’s band performs. The surprise goes off without a hitch and Tess is stoked that so many people showed. Even Kyndra and Cami show up, though they say it's only so Kyndra can hang with Cameron. It’s okay because they later trash the whole party, including Rocky’s choice of wardrobe.

The next night Tessa and Chase have dinner together and it’s basically a lovefest until Chase has to bail because “the band needs him." Sigh, it’s not easy being a groupie.

Until next time…

Hey all --

My name is Tracy and I’m a reality TV addict. I don’t care what the subject matter is -- if it involves real people and there's unscripted, pain-staking drama, I'm in. At first I was slightly embarrassed to admit that I watched everything from Paradise Hotel to The Flavor of Love, but now I've learned to embrace my obsession. I look at it this way: I always have something to talk about and, at any given hour, there's something for me to watch on TV.

E_Laguna_Season3_157.jpgOn Wednesdays at 10pm it's Laguna Beach, which had its season three premiere last night. That’s right -- a brand new season of everyone’s favorite dirty little secret. LB is back with a new crop of angst-filled teen hotties. But before we get thrown in to the new cycle of ridiculous drama, we got the chance to catch up with some of last season’s faves. Alex M., Taylor, Jessica and Alex H. met for lunch to catch up and talk about how they don’t hear from US Weekly favorites Jason, Lauren and Kristin. We also learned that Jessica is hooking up with new guy, Cameron, who’s a junior. The best line of the night was when Alex H. said that Cameron is “hot, but stupid” and Jessica came back with “He’s not dumb, everyone just thinks he is.” We all know about Jessica’s taste in men and just when you thought she couldn’t get more pathetic than last year... she doesn’t disappoint. But dumb Cameron’s torn between Jess and the head of the new popular clique, Kyndra.

Kyndra’s former best friend, Tessa, is this season’s narrator. Tessa decides to join the bitchy girls and some guys over at Kyndra’s house for a barbecue, but pisses off the hostess when she brings her friend Raquel aka “Rocky”, who is apparently not cool enough to be breathing the same air as Kyndra and ultra-mean girl, Cami. Tessa and her posse leave pretty soon after due to the chilly reception.

Meanwhile, the boys make an appearance at the shinding fueling the girls’ idea that they own them. And what would an episode of Laguna be without the obligatory Jacuzzi antics. Kyndra and Cami don their cutest bikinis while the boys show their well-toned abs. It’s clear that Kyndra and Cameron do some of their best flirting while wet. The next day Cameron and Kelan are golfing, like all rich 16-year-old boys do, when Cameron admits that he “woke up at Kyndra’s this morning.” Uh-huh.

As much as we hate to admit it, these pesky kids with attitude have hooked us again.

Join me every Wednesday for some dish on the Beach. Until next time… byphoto_tracy.gif

Pick A Show
