Vegas -- the home of quickie marriages, legal prostitution and Britney Spears's disastrous VMA performance. But last night, it was also the backdrop of The Hills.
Lauren, Audrina, Jill and Lo went to the casino capitol of the world to surprise L.C.'s friend Brody Jenner for his 24th birthday. Oh yeah, and Audrina brought her weirdo boyfriend Justin, who was seriously in need of a haircut and shave. Honestly, the dude looked so much like L.C.'s rumored hookup Cisco Adler, it was incredible.
While in Vegas, sparks flew between L.C. and Brody, and the two ended up playfully kissing at a club. All of their friends confronted them about not being together, but both sides swore they were... wait for it... just friends. And they said that the one time they hooked up, all they did was fight. Sounds like a rational reason to me not to get back together, but later in the episode the pair was all about the cuddling. I like them together, but I can't decide if I think Brody is a hottie. Sometimes I think his facial features are too big for him, and other times I'm drooling.

I already know you're super excited about tonight's premieres of Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy (starting at 8pm (ET), so I'm taking those out of the running for what I'm going to watch tonight. Clearly, they're already DVRed. And don't worry, recappers Shanna and Joanna will be delivering a full report tomorrow morning.

*Note: I've seen the pilot of Big Shots, and it's awesome -- just like Sex and the City, but with boys... not that I'm trying to influence your decision!

Once again, there are so many show premieres on tonight that I pretty much need more than one DVR box. Check out what's on tap, and vote for which show you want me to watch tonight and report back on. (FYI, Sarah Mac will be back as your House recapper this season -- everyone say, "Hi, Sarah Mac!")
Starting at 8pm (ET), tune in for the premiere of either NCIS on CBS or Bones on Fox.
At 9pm (ET), we'll have to choose between House on Fox, The Unit on CBS and Reaper on the CW. At 9:30, ABC has the fifth season premiere of Boston Legal.
Then at 10pm (ET), we come head-to-head with a tough choice. We can either tune in for CBS's new sexy drama, Cane, or go with the oldie-but-always-a-goodie Law & Order: SVU. Yikes... help me decide!
I have to admit, I haven't been the biggest Heroes fan ever. I kept tuning in last season, only to change the channel after about 15 minutes. But since you all said you were excited about last night's premiere, I watch it, as promised. And you know what? I loved it.
For all of you Heroes virgins out there, I highly recommend watching this season. It's entertaining, even if you don't know the full back story.

Uh-oh! Have all the Disney stars gone wild? Rumors circulated this weekend that 14-year-old Hannah Montana's Miley Cyrus was pregnant! Can you imagine? That would've knocked High School Musical's Vanessa Hudgens (and her naked pictures) right off her scandalous teen queen throne.
Don't get too excited, yet. Teen mag J-14, which reportedly broke Miley's pregnancy news, is saying it's completely false and that someone with mad PhotoShop skills created a page that looked like a J-14 mockup with the following story about Miley:
"I'm going to take good care of my baby. I've already gained 7 pounds. I was in real shock when it happened accidentally. I went a little too far. I'm sorry to all of my fans."
Darn. Just when I thought things were about to get really interesting.
It's a good thing my gym has individual TVs on every treadmill because there is no way I'm missing tonight's hottest premieres. In the 8pm (ET) hour, you'll have to decide between new comedy Chuck on NBC and the fifth season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on ABC (with Jennie Garth!). Oh yeah, and at 8:30pm (ET), The Big Bang Theory airs on CBS.
Then at 9pm (ET), Heroes returns on NBC, and the sixth season of CSI: Miami returns to CBS. But our night's not over, yet. ABC has season 11 of The Bachelor at 10pm (ET), and NBC is premiering Journeyman.
So tell me, what are we watching tonight? My girls Kristen and Allie will be recapping The Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars, so feel free to vote for something new, and we'll discuss it tomorrow.

I have to tell you, I am SO excited about the premiere of Gossip Girl tonight. This show is absolutely going to be the next O.C. Trust me, you do not want to miss it. But I want to know which premiere you're psyched about seeing tonight -- and man, there are a bunch! This is going to be one tough call.
Besides the Gossip Girl premiere that's on the CW at 9pm (ET), there's the heavily controversial Kid Nation airing at 8pm (ET) on CBS, the new Kelsey Grammar sitcom Back to You on Fox at the same time, followed by Kitchen Nightmares at 9pm (ET), and of course, America's Next Top Model at 8pm (ET) on the CW.
So kids, what are we watching tonight?
When reality shows get beyond the third season or so, they tend to need a twist to keep viewers engaged. Think about it: The Bachelor added The Bachelorette. Donald Trump took The Apprentice to L.A., etc...
So, it didn't really surprise me when last night's Beauty and the Geek announced a surprise (which they teased in true reality TV form for more than half of the two-hour premiere). The "beauty" and "geek" with the lowest scores during the first challenge got to pick the rest of the two-person teams. Brilliant! That totally changes the game.

No, I'm not leaving you hanging, but there's only one new show premiering tonight, so voting on which one to watch seems a little silly, lol. I'm tuning in for the season four premiere of Ashton Kutcher's Beauty and the Geek at 8pm (ET) on the CW. Check it out, and we'll talk about it tomorrow.

You guys voted yesterday that I should watch the premiere of Prison Break over new show K-Ville. So, since you asked for it, here's my opinion of last night's show.
I read somewhere that this season of Prison Break was going to be so gruesome that it would make the past two seasons look like a luxury vacation. Whoever wrote that was 100-percent right. In case you forgot, when we last saw Michael Scofield, he had been thrown into Sona prison (or hellhole with out rules, guards or escape) in Panama -- along with Agent Mahone, T-Bag and Bellick.
In last night's episode alone, three men died. Bellick was running around in his underwear and looked like he was ready to kill himself, and Scofield was told he'd have to stay in the prison for at least a week and help another prisoner breakout, or Dr. Sara Tancredi and Michael's brother Lincoln's son, L.J., would be killed.
Usually, I'm a devout PB fan, but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to watch this season. The barbaric nature of last night's show and gory deaths of the inmates was a little much for my taste on a Monday night while I was eating dinner.

Yay! One of our favorite bloggers -- and Today show host -- Meredith Vieira is returning to The View. No, she's not replacing new cohosts Sherri Shepherd or Whoopi Goldberg already, but she is going to make a guest appearance on October 8. Marking my calendar now...
Her return will be the first time she's joined The View gals since she left the show in 2006 to cohost Today. Because she's such a fabulous multitasker, she also hosts the game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and will be promoting some kind of video game version of the game show.
If Barbara Walters really wanted to shake things up, she should invite Star Jones and Rosie O'Donnell back, too. And hey, while she's at it, why not tack on a segment or two with Donald Trump? Kidding.
First comes love... then comes marriage... then comes the baby in the baby carriage. Weeeeeeell, maybe, maybe not.
When Jodie Sweetin (who played Stephanie on Full House) got married seemingly out-of-the-blue at the end of July, I was a tad bit suspicious. Turns out I might have had a reason to be. TMZ.com has announced (well, the couple sent the Site the sonogram pic) that everyone's favorite middle child (besides Jan Brady, of course) is expecting a baby-to-be.
Most with-bump stars don't announce their pregnancy until they're at least three months along. Now, I know I'm a journalist here, and I usually the sight of numbers makes me cringe, but let's do some basic math on our fingers. July to August... August to September... Oh wait, it's been less than eight weeks since the wedding.
Just saying.
Congrats to the couple.
OMG. What is The Hills' Lauren Conrad doing?? After reportedly sucking face with Cisco Adler on Saturday night, she went on to lock lips hold hands with Paris Hilton's pre-jail boy toy Josh Henderson on Sunday after the VMAs. Nasty.
I can't imagine hooking up with either of the slimeballs (by the way, do you remember when Josh dated Ashlee Simpson?) but if you had to choose, would you rather swap spit with Josh Henderson or Cisco Adler. Keep in mind, one has most likely slept with Paris, and the other used to be engaged to Kimberly Stewart.

While Justin Timberlake was off winning his Quadruple Threat Moonman in Vegas, he and Saturday Night Live funnyman Andy Samberg were being awarded an Emmy for most Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for their hit "Di*k in a Box."

Say it isn't so! The Hills' Lauren Conrad is reportedly hooking up with Mischa Barton-castoff Cisco Adler. The two were spotted swapping spit at Christina Aguilera's VMA party on Saturday night.
Someone please tell me what it is that girls see in this guy. I used to think it was something about seeing him in person -- that maybe he gave off some sort of sexy vibe, but I ran into a few weeks ago in NYC, and he was anything but sexy. I was dancing maybe a foot-and-a-half away from him, and he was every bit as grungy as he looks in pictures. It didn't help that he had some seemingly wasted and unknown blonde chick wrapped around his lap.
My advice for L.C.: Run, run, run! You do not Kimberly Stewart and Mischa's leftovers. Gross. And when you're done running, do yourself a favor and wash your mouth out with a prescription-strength dose of Listerine.

What is it with starlets thinking that it's ever okay to be photographed with their clothes off? I don't get it! They know they're going to wind up on the Web. The latest casualty of this never-ending trend? None other than Vanessa Hudgens of High Musical fame. It's a Disney movie for crying out loud. She should know better! Does she want to end up like Paris Hilton? I certainly hope not.
Once the pictures were released, Vanessa's camp did some major damage control, with her releasing the following statement to TMZ.com:
"This was a photo which was taken privately. It is a personal matter and it is unfortunate that this has become public."
No, Vanessa, what's unfortunate is that you chose to take the picture in the first place. And what's even more unfortunate is that your pretend man-candy/costar Zac Efron will probably have to find a new costar to pretend to date, since you're going to hurt his "It" boy status with this bad-girl rep.

I really thought Whoopi Goldberg was going to make The View even more boring that it already was, but she's gone all Sister Act (loved that movie) and surprised me! On her first day, she brought about major controversy regarding the Michael Vick dogfighting charges, saying his, um, hobby was "not that unusual" in the South, where Vick is from. PETA's freaking out, people from the south are freaking out, we love it (not the dogfighting, obvi., but the drama!). Even fired cohost Rosie O'Donnell thinks Whoopi did good.
So, this season of The View appears to be off to a good start. Plus, Barbara Walters announced on air that the other empty seat (vacated when Meredith Vieira went to the Today Show last year -- love your blog, Mer!) will be filled next Monday, September 10.

Uh-oh. Jerry Lewis pulled a total Isaiah Washington during this year's 42nd annual telethon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In the 18th hour of the three-day fundraiser, the 81-year-old seemed to forget he was on live TV and referred to a family member as an "illiterate fa**ot" while he was in the middle of rant.
Don't worry: GLAAD is already all over this. They've requested a meeting with Jerry to help him understand how hurtful those words are.
Jerry, we're ashamed. You're supposed to be about helping -- not hurting. So, which is worse -- Jerry's use of the word or Isaiah's? Does it make any difference that Jerry is 81 years old and might not always be 100-percent with it? Is that an excuse? Weigh in below.

Listen up Kristen Bell lovers: Not only will you get to see your favorite Veronica Mars' star on the upcoming season of Heroes, but you'll also get to hear her do some hardcore rocking out.
She's starting a band with Clark Duke, who is on my favorite new guilty pleasure show, Greek. Hey, something had to replace my love for all things 7th Heaven. Clark plays this super nerdy kid named Dale, who abhors all things fraternity.
But anyway, in an interview with New York Magazine, he said, "I think me and Kristen Bell are going to start a band. It's called Kung-Fu Professor. This is a pretty new development, like last week. We met through Edgar Wright, the director of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. I play guitar and a little bit of keys, and she plays keys and sings. I sort of aspire to sing between, like, cigarettes. I give it my all. I got a lot of heart."
Who thinks Kung-Fu Professor will be any good? I don't know, but I kinda like the name. When can I buy the t-shirt?
They might as well rename Dancing with the Stars 90210: The Old Class. Jennie Garth, a.k.a. Kelly Taylor, has signed on for the fifth season of the reality show.

The season premiere of Desperate Housewives doesn't air for more than a month (September 30), but judging from this picture, it looks like Teri Hatcher and newcomer Dana Delaney are already best buds. At the marketing campaign for Teri's new Badgley Mischka ads, she was snapped holding hands with Dana on the red carpet and laughing hysterically.

Kids these days... how dumb can they be? I kid, I kid (no pun intended), but sometimes I really do think the cast of The Hills need more than a little reality check. Today's daily dumb thing? Lauren Conrad's ex-boyfriend, Jason Wahler is... wait for it... engaged.
Luckily, not to our girl Lauren. The "lucky" chick to win this Prince of Being Arrested is Jason's girlfriend (and USC tennis star) Katja Decker-Sadowski. At least J had the good sense to buy her a real engagement ring -- a four carat emereld cut diamond to be precise -- unlike some people we know.
